Hacking M3 Lite Perfect GBA problems

I was having the same problem. Using START instead of 'A' fixed me too. Glad I found this thread!

    Hacking Is my Wii Bricked?

FYI, I have Bootmi as boot2, and mine doesnt blink either. Just the blue slot flash when I turn it on. As said earlier, you have to make a directory on the root of the SD card called "bootmii" (lowercase might matter). And it needs to contain the files "armboot.bin", "bootmii.ini", and...

Hacking Where do people learn how to fix Anti Piracy stuff?

Hex is just looking at data in base 16 instead of base 10... So like the number "16" is "10" in hex... and the number 15 is "F". Hex is not a computer language, it's just a convienent way to look at binary data (programs or offsets into data). Other conversions from decimal (base 10) to hex...

Hacking Lost SD card need help

The SD card only contains Homebrew applications. It really has nothing to do with any modding of your Wii. The homebrew channel, BootMii, will still be on your Wii, as well as any IOS's you might have installed. If you softmodded your Wii, you'll just have to put a USB loader back on the SD...

Hacking Wii Sent in and Main CircuitBoard REplacement

Dump the new NAND with bootmii, and check the keys.bin file, inside, there is a line: ConsoleID: xxxxxxx The xxxxx is the unique console ID. If thats changed, its a new NAND and it wont restore. I don't know how to "convert" another console's NAND to a different one. Actually, I think...

Hacking Updating from 4.1U to 4.2U

I just did this today -- 4.1U to 4.2U. I did it just because it appeared to be safe, and I figure it's always good to be on the latest version, as long as you wait until the time to upgrade is right. Which is now, since I upgraded with no problems. Here is what I did: * Install CIOS Rev 15 *...

Hacking Potential vulnerability for future backup loading

I don't have a full understanding of this, but it seems to me they could easily check (in the actual game code) for the existance of unauthorized IOSs that are installed. Things of that nature -- kind of taking what they did in 4.2 to the next level. Not to erase the stuff off the Wii, but...

Hacking bootmii as Boot2 on a Wii that hasn't Boot2 availible?

If I understand correctly, Boot1/Boot2 is contained in a chip that is soldered on the Wii. You won't be able to "swap" it with another Wii no matter what (unless you are VERY talented).

Hacking Anyway changing Bootmii from boot1 to boot2?

BootMii is not installed in boot1. If you read that more carefully, its talking about the "installed boot1 version" meaning your version of boot1 does not allow changes to boot2. Not that BootMii is INSTALLED in boot1 (which it cannot be).

Hacking WBFS Manager - Beta Tester Request

The Beta version seemed to work flawlessly! Copied from a 120gig drive to a 160gb Kangaru, about 100gig worth of files (36 iso files). Had no issues. The progress bar even seemed to work correctly. The copy took 94 minutes. Both drives were one big WBFS partition.

Hacking WBFS Manager - Beta Tester Request

Hi, my first question is, does the current version 3.0.1 support Drive to Drive? Just tonight, I saw the need to copy a 120Gig WBFS drive off to another HD, and I had noticed the "drive to drive" button. I am looking at the feature on my PC now (with no drives connected) and it all seems to...

    Hacking A weird semi-brick

When you backed up the Wii's NAND with Bootmii, did you abort the "Verify" sequence? If so, SHAME on you. If not -- then its not much good is it?

    Hacking BootMii: Differing Opinions

I agree, like they said -- Installing Bootmii as boot2 (and doing a NAND backup) is about the single most important thing you can do, and should (have been) done immediately to preserve the state of the Wii as it is NOW. Then you can install IOSs, install WADs, do anything you please, since...

Hacking when can i install bootmii without worries

Sounds to me like your Wii is a bullshit. Bootmii is doing the best it can, it's not BootMii's fault it won't install. And it is only in Beta, perhaps they can get it installing on more Wiis in the future.
