Yep, I definitely back up stock NAND/sysMMC/whatever before I start hacking a device. So does the above mean that I can create a new US NNID after the region change that will work on the device (understanding that it can't download anything including updates from the eShop - this would just be...
I'm sure I'm not the only one that has noticed that right now there is much greater availability of New 3DS LLs (i.e. the Japanese model) than there is of the New 3DS XL. I want to buy a backup unit now for the day when my current 3DS kicks the bucket, but I don't really want to navigate the...
This is fantastic! I'll second the request to bring back the 3D viewing functionality from the old YouTube app - this was the main thing I used it for. Looks like Google changed something about the way videos were flagged that made it harder to detect what type of display was being used; they...
Since we're on the topic, it's worth pointing out that while the NSUI code itself isn't open source, the fork of Retroarch that Asdolo used is, in fact, open source. This is arguably the hardest part of the code (at least IMHO - retroarch core is way more complicated than a C# frontend), and if...
I'm running with an emuMMC, firmware 9.2.0, and Atmosphere 0.12. I've been trying to play Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition on my Switch, but it keeps crashing whenever it is docked. Playing in handheld mode, it hasn't crashed once. But within 5 minutes of docking it (either when...
SOLVED - leaving this here in case anyone else runs across the same issue. Ultimately the solution was simple - I removed my Atmosphere and Sept folders on my SD card completely, downloaded the newest Atmosphere, and unzipped it to my SD card. Worked like a charm after that (I lost my themes...
Thanks all - I got busy for a bit and I'm just getting back to this thread now. I've never updated my stock firmware since I got my switch, so there shouldn't be any burnt fuses. I have the sysnand that I made when I first purchased it (7.0.0). So reading through everything above, it sounds...
I have that. Do I need to take any special precautions to ensure it doesn't wipe out my emunand/android/l4t etc.? Also, what is the difference between doing this and just doing a factory reset?
I installed sysnand cfw last year before emummc was available, and a couple months ago I moved over to using emummc by copying my sysnand cfw to emummc. So right now I basically have cfw on both my sysnand and emummc (although I updated to a newer firmware version on emummc only since then)...
Ah - I have the trackpad, not the mouse. That could explain it. The drivers I linked to were specifically for the trackpad (I believe I read bug posts on Github where someone said the drivers weren’t working, and turned out the issue was he was trying to use a Magic Mouse). So unfortunately...
Does right-click work for you? I could do without multitouch but since the ATM2 doesn't have any hard buttons, I can only use it to move the cursor and left click.
I haven’t tried building it yet - I was hoping someone would say it’s easy to update the kernel to 5.4 without breaking anything, in which case the drivers are included. Have you tried running make as root?
Hmm - I just checked and I definitely have that directory on my machine. What directories do you have inside /lib/modules?
I believe that dir contains headers that are needed for building in gcc - I installed make-essentials and a bunch of other stuff I can't recall in order to set up a...
I've created a few Linux desktop applications so you don't need to open a console and run a bunch of commands every time you want to overclock your Switch or return it to stock settings - instead, you can just click on icons in your launcher. I've also included a replacement desktop app for...
I'm wondering if it's possible to add support for the Apple Magic Trackpad 2 (AMT2) in L4T? There are drivers that were created here: https://github.com/robotrovsky/Linux-Magic-Trackpad-2-Driver.
From the readme it looks like this driver was rolled into the 4.20 kernel, but I believe that's...
Not sure about other models of Pi4 but the Pi 4 B with 8GBs OCed to 2Ghz handles PSP really great except like 1 game I found and it is playable it just looks bad lol Motor Storm Arctic something or other.
I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.
I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
