    Whenever I want to play my discs through the normal Wii Disc Channel, they want to do a firmware update. Is there any way to prevent that? Firmware is waninkoko's 4.1J if it matters.

    Not really. I went from 4.0E to 3.2J and the channel works fine. Maybe read the "how to get online" part of this thread. It worked for me both on 4.0E and 3.2J.

    Oh, I just followed this guide http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=170971 and I'm on 3.2J now. Thanks anyway. I guess now that the Area (and also System Menu) is set as Japan I can also go to 4.1 with NUSD.

    Some error here using 4.0E. Tried IOS55 with Softchip r99 and it would load just fine. Could it be Gecko OS is somehow NOT using IOS55? Can't set it manually like I did with Softchip.

    Alright, thanks. I have an unrelated question (I'll ask here instead of making a new thread I guess). I'm currently running 4.0E and I'd like to get to 4.0J in order to play MH3 online. Is it possible to go 4.0E > 3.2E > 3.2J using Any Region Changer and then using waninoko's stuff to get to 4.0J?
