    Ok I might try to modify the v2.2 console first, is it the same process? Just follow the same guide? I'd like to keep firmware v1 console as is and try to sell it to someone who can put it to good use!

    I will post a picture of the system screen confirming the firmware version, if anyone interested in the console just message me. On another point is there a good guide to follow to mod the console that's on v2.2 to allow me / grandchildren play backed up games?

    I have 14 grandchildren so been buying consoles here and there for them to play when they visit, had these 2 for a while now I put them to one when I noticed the low firmware thought they might be collectable at some point!
