    i'm in a similar boat, "Unable to start software. Return to the HOME menu and try again" error after replacement of Power IC. but i'm on atmosphere, have auto RCM turned off (due to lending my switch for kids to play). everytime i turn off the Switch and turn on again, it boots to vanilla...
