Tutorial HWFLY chips will brick your OLED. Here is how to avoid it

I definitely would do that as I'm happy to do that sort of thing, but I don't have the USB adapter for the chip so it'll have to go back to my mod guy.

Tutorial HWFLY chips will brick your OLED. Here is how to avoid it

Thanks juanvlc - mine is indeed the 6-wired chip, so I'll send it back to my local modder to have that done. :)

Tutorial HWFLY chips will brick your OLED. Here is how to avoid it

Can anyone offer their thoughts on my predicament?: Having received my OLED switch back today with the OLED-specific chip in there - which has been left on stock Spacecraft 0.2.0 - I find it can pulse purple a few times when powering on then go green, but the screen remains black as if Hekate...

Hacking Atmosphere-NX - Custom Firmware in development by SciresM

I've been wondering about that myself - i.e. can I replace the HATS files to update Hekate whilst running Hekate's USB Mass Storage tool to mount the SD to my PC? If anyone can clarify this, that would be much appreciated. :)

    Switch OLED teardown V1/V2

Did you flash the r021 firmware from sthetix? I'm just asking around about this as my switch is currently with my local modder to install the OLED chip. :)

Tutorial HWFLY chips will brick your OLED. Here is how to avoid it

That would be great to know - my OLED chip is being installed soon by my local modder, so I'm in two minds to either stick with stock 0.2.0 for now and be mindful of which SD card to use, or go with either sthetix's r021 or Mena's firmwares... I'll be keeping an eye on this thread.

Tutorial How to flash the HWFLY Clone chips

Thanks lufeig - I'll ask the modder to just see how things stand with the stock 0.2.0, in terms of which SD cards it accepts, before thinking about flashing sthetix's r021 firmware. :) EDIT: I purchased this type of OLED chip: (as opposed to this type): So I'm hoping mine can be flashed...

Tutorial How to flash the HWFLY Clone chips

Thanks lufeig, I'm getting my OLED-chip installed tomorrow and just watched the video on youtube by sthetix about the OLED installation / r021 flashing... so would you advise that my modder should flash firmware r021 to the chip? I can stick with Samsung cards either way, but it would be good...
