    thats interesting!! I wonder if thats an issue on other firmwares? mine KP'd the other night on 7.61 inbetween y2jb closing and pldmgr opening, so not rest mode, but i put it down to my son button bashing at the time eager to play a game :O either way id recently installed some ps4 pkgs...

    4.50, purely based on the response above from sonic and it being the lowest, seems to me a no brainer plus there's not a huge difference in fw there both HV etc I'd probably like to have a 10.01 as my 2nd ps5

    Im sure a dev possibly Echo said a week or so ago it wasnt necessary or something like that i think i saw it on discord, Ill try to find... 2bh im still running the fan payload regardless as surely its gotta do a bit of good compared to without, i mean you can hear it spin up and see the temps...

    I found my PS5 at a car boot sale for 30GBP the HDMI port was busted and needed some liquid metal, fw7.01, with a 512gb NVMe inside... very lucky find :grog: :D

    true... however surely its advantageous to tweak the fan, cooler run systems should prolong the hardwares lifetime, improve performance / reliability. Maybe not super necessary atm but its surely a positive option, I will try this over the weekend

    Have we discussed fw downgrade on this thread? Im just thinking about what I did to my ps4 pro a year or so ago to revert back to previous firmware which was luckily 9.00 att. but would a similar method work for PS5 i wonder??
