Xbox to increase in price again in August, Series S set to hit $500

oh by the way, when the price hike does go into effect in September, it'll be $500, so consumers will be ethier going for ethier a brand new nintendo console that's a year old.... or a heavily gimpped Xbox Series X for the same exact price point. 1782417164 they should have seen the warning...

Steam Machine waiting list goes live, starting at £879 with a 512GB SSD

You do realize that trnaslation layers like WINE and DXVK alongside the other ones used in Proton are what people are going to need to use for Windows-native games, let alone traditional applications, otherwise you wouldn't even be able to run Windows ANYTHING on linux, and the number of games...

Steam Machine waiting list goes live, starting at £879 with a 512GB SSD

They have indeed been getting closer to Wndows performance on average, though part of that can also be attributed to WINE and the Proton additions pulling a ton of weight to make sure the windows application doesn't immediately kill itself when it comes to non-native games, though Windows might...

Steam Machine waiting list goes live, starting at £879 with a 512GB SSD

Nvidia has official "Open Source" Drivers for linux that perform just as well as they do on windows and are availible for any major distro via thier package manager of choice, provided they have it in thier repos or whatever third party repos you use. even if you decry it for being proprietary...

Steam Machine waiting list goes live, starting at £879 with a 512GB SSD

They could have just made the RAM and NVMe slots easy to access as part of the base design... you know, the thing they did with the NVMe as shown by the prerelease teardowns and even now. It bears repeating, if you needed daddy Valve to get you on Linux instead of your own ability to do it...

Steam Machine waiting list goes live, starting at £879 with a 512GB SSD

You know what else is like a quarter the size of the PC i linked, sometimes even smaller and has comparable or even superior specs to the Steam Machine even when both have borderline laptop hardware? A Mini-PC... which has existed long before the Steam Machine was even a thing in Valve HQ with...

Steam Machine waiting list goes live, starting at £879 with a 512GB SSD

They could have released a barebones version with you needing to buy your own RAM and SSD for significantly cheaper. Even Mini-PCs understand this. Consoles have the exact hardware advertised to reduce costs and ensure every game would opperate under the same specifications short of alternative...

Steam Machine waiting list goes live, starting at £879 with a 512GB SSD

And there goes any impact the Steam Machine would have had, when it's $50 more expensive than a PS5 Pro with no controller to boot, let alone two Switch 2s... Just cancel it at this point, no amount of "muh freedomn" or "muh rebranded Arch Linux" will win consumers to that over a console...

"Buy a Switch 2 within a year or lose access" - Square Enix is shutting down the Switch 1 versions of Kingdom Hearts

inb4 revival servers come that require existing PC copies of the games... y'know, assuming people would even want to still run a cloud version of the game you soon won't even be able to buy though i doubt it when the one of the most famous things about these versions being that it broke Trinity...

Nintendo fined 35 million euros by the French government due to Switch 1 Joycon malfunctions

Oh no, the french fined them a nonsubstantial amount of money to a multi-billion dollar company, what will they ever do? ignore it and make it back in less than a day?

What do you want to see in the next Nintendo Direct?

I wish it would just be a cancelation notice with Fukishima himself blaming the poeple who still parrot the ever tired Anti-Nintendo talking points, especially youtubers because that would be actually fucking funny and not full of copium like many of the posts here.

PlayStation State of Play June 2, 2026 broadcast - new God of War announced

I wonder if this guy's ignore list consists of almost every single top news regular or anyone who even pushed back against him even a tiny bit, would be really fitting for someone who defends Sony to the ends of the earth No, not really, still shocked that he didn't make any edits to his posts...
