Pokémon Crystal gets a PC port titled "suiCune" based on C/C++ language

Fantastic. I wonder how long it'll take to get AP to use this version? Probably a few years, but the heads up is always appreciated. Out of curiosity, what prodded this particular post given that the github in question hasn't been modified in 2 months? Looking forward to hearing about this...

PC port for The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap gets its first playable build

A promising start. I had to spend some time on the discord I found from a YouTube video, but I got 0.16 working with sound on windows. From poking around the discord it looks like there's some forking going on between two hardworking modders at the moment, so this might be a bit funky for a...

Give-away A controller for your thoughts - win a free controller!

A game I'm looking forward to is one of the Pokémon gen 10 games. I'll probably end up getting Pokémon Waves since I like that shade of blue a bit more. I finally saved up enough to buy into the Switch 2 a few days ago, so I should be good to go... I've played too many rom hacks over the...

Harvest Moon 64 Decompilation Project is 100% Completed!

Oh this is sick. This was one of my favorite games for a long time. I've been bouncing between Archipelago games for the last two months as if a pair of kittens were playfully yet purposefully batting me around like a ball of yarn. This would make a perfect compliment to the PC ports of OoT...

help about Metroid Prime 4 Beyond

I'm downloading and getting the files ready for an attempt. So I'm going to AMS 1.10.1 (the newest) and installing FW 19.0.1 with latest sigpatches? Will this work, or are sigpatches for EXACT firmware versions and I just never knew it. (Also, it's looking like you can either use manual...

help about Metroid Prime 4 Beyond

So it looks like I only need to update to 19.0.1 then? For compatibility and stability reasons that should be okay. 19 didn't lose any memory for homebrew after all. I already got MP4 installed on 18.0.0 using SAK to downpatch it; the game just fails to boot after about 8 seconds or so. What...

help about Metroid Prime 4 Beyond

Yeah, that's what I've been using to install for years. In my experience if it installs correctly from that it'll work just fine. I downpatched the xci with switch army knife like I did with ZA to get it to work on 18.0.0 but when I run the game it just does the "an error occurred message"...

Homebrew Safe to Update to 20 Now?

Update: All right. I ended up not updating, and I'll luckily be sticking with 18.0.0 for a while longer, since I was able to get the game in question installed and working on it. Thanks again for the info and heads-up for the potential issues in upgrading firmware.

[Place your bets] When do you think "Pokemon Legends : ZA" roms are gonna leak online?

I'm aware of this fix. I omitted this by design because they stipulated that eden does not work for them.

[Place your bets] When do you think "Pokemon Legends : ZA" roms are gonna leak online?

Yeah, does for me as well on newest Ryubing (Ryujinx) 1.3.3. Someone here said you could set the ram to 12GB and reset the cache, but that still crashes. Lol. It's kind of neat this works even this well before the darn thing is released, honestly. Real talk. When we get a proper dump of the...

Homebrew Safe to Update to 20 Now?

Yeah. It's in a nebulous space where everything could be fine, or it could be a problem. Then there's doing it correctly since it's been over a year since I messed with cfw maintenance. I also don't have the 32GB free to backup right now, so I'd be taking a gamble. Really, Nintendo just made...

Homebrew Safe to Update to 20 Now?

Hey, thanks for specific info on that battery issue. I didn't realize that was happening, but it sounds like there's a fix already for it. So helpful! Also that memory seems to work out to only -6MB, and since they added a buffer for loading, are people still having problems with mods now? I...

Homebrew Safe to Update to 20 Now?

I was hearing about a battery issue with 19, but the interesting thing is that sort of corresponded with the normal degradation for launch switches, so I figured it was a misunderstanding and mostly a nothing burger. I myself replaced my battery around 7 months ago since it was just old...

Homebrew Safe to Update to 20 Now?

I've been running sysnand 18.0.0 and atmosphere 1.7.0 on my launch switch (autoRCM) for over a year now without issues. It's great, and above all else everything works. I held back updating to 19.0.0 back when it seemed appropriate for games because it both didn't end up being necessary and...
