    If the two large ribbon cables that slip through the hole in the PCB are for the screens, then yes, they are connected as well as they can possibly be.

    Nah because actually (I ran into this while putting it back together) the 3ds seems to be able to fully power on without the screens attached. You hear the home screen jingle and everything, just nothing on the screen. All the ribbon cables have been quadruple checked, too. :(

    I found something called a makernote, which was located in the DSi photo, but I don't think that's it. It was copied over to the test picture as well, but of course the picture didn't work out..

    Probably the wrong forum, but if I'm not mistaken, I was able to use my Visa gift card on Paypal. I just removed it once it ran out. I think they're refillable or something, but I never bothered.
