  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, Max Louran was in trouble with the law before. He ran a business doing fraud, got away with just about anything, as if they knew him personally.

  • realtimesave @ realtimesave:
@SylverReZ the only reason why there's no updated SXOS is because the coders don't get paid any more :P
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    @realtimesave, whats team xecuter s(e)x?
  • realtimesave @ realtimesave:
team xecuter basically is a modchip company

  • realtimesave @ realtimesave:
originally it was a guy making xbox mod chips then he sold the name to Max

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@realtimesave, also I guess they were stingy bc money was what made them continue developing it
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, Team Xecuter were the OG in developing modchips for the OG Xbox at the beginning. They moved onto making copier devices like the Classic2Magic, as well as dongles like the PS3Jailbreak.

  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Yeah back then it wasn't as cheap to come up with a mod chip and create it not like it is now
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Even back then, microcontrollers were something brand new, and were pretty expensive. The earliest PS1 modchips were produced in Hong Kong without any markings, some distributors didn't care to remove the chip markings. And in the end, didn't take long for somebody called Old Crow to reverse engineer the logic and create an open source alternative.
  • realtimesave @ realtimesave:
you know what was a badass modchip? Crystal Chip for PS2.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    @realtimesave, I think my ps2 had a matrix modchip
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@realtimesave, DMS and Matrix Infinity were probably the best.
  • realtimesave @ realtimesave:
    matrix was good
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@realtimesave, bc when I saw a video about it the logo seemed very familiar to me
  • realtimesave @ realtimesave:
nahh man Crystal Chip because it had the most features.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
We have too many better options now which is good and bad
  • realtimesave @ realtimesave:
    for PS2?
  • realtimesave @ realtimesave:
I run all my PS2 off of hard drive
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
    Everything
  • realtimesave @ realtimesave:
none of my PS2 consoles are modded :\
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@realtimesave, I like the Crystal Chip, it has a lot more features built-in like HDD support and loading apps from a USB or memory card.
  • realtimesave @ realtimesave:
I sold my crystal chip one I gues I should've kept it :O
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Yeah, they're getting hard to find now.
  • realtimesave @ realtimesave:
