    does bootmii still load before it shows the "bricked" screen? just select the option on the bootmii menu (with the power button) that has the arrow going from the sd card to the harddrive-looking thing. (select with reset button)

    Try turning off your wii by holding down the power button for 5 seconds. and try turning it off by unplugging the power cord FROM THE WII, not from the wall I know that sounds rediculous, but when my very beat-up gamecube controller would short circuit my Wii, that fixed it
