    Thanks for your help. Tried both of the above but still no good. While the screen is black the remotes will not respond. Also I noticed that when I back into the system menu from HBC I can no longer play even original disks so I think some IOS got messed up somewhere but I am not sure which one.

    I had a 4.0U wii with cIOSrev9 and Preloader .29 and loading games via USBloader GX. Went into homebrew and was prompted with an update screen so I updated and also installed BootMii as an IOS as it could not be done as Boot 2 (Error -2). Then I updated to cIOSrev13b...and now the problem...
