    Hacking Wii system corrupt

I wasn't able to replicate this error anymore. It might also be that when I had the error, I was starting cfg loader from Homebrew channel or via wii explorer. What I have changed since last error: cfg usb loader v62 -> v65 cfg loader forwarder channel ? -> official cfg loader forwarder v9...

    Hacking Wii system corrupt

Cfg usb loader updates playlog anyways, that you have "played" cfg usb loader. You can see it from the message board. What version of priiloader you have and what hacks are enabled? Try to load directly to config usb loader from priiloader, with this method playlog is not updated. Then try to...

    Hacking Wii system corrupt

I had this corrupted system files message once when returning from M&S winter Olympics to wii menu. It was simply fixed by just unplugging the console. I was using cfg loader r62, return_to_channel = wii menu, write_playlog enabled and priiloader 0.4 loading to system menu. Do you have...

Hacking cIOSX rev21: controller lag [FIXED!]

It may be related to parking of the heads, it takes about 0.3 seconds to wake then up again. __EHCI_Watchdog could be disabled, but then some drives would have a sleep/spindown issue. To prevent parking the heads, it would need running the wakeup watchdog every 2 seconds or less for some...

Hacking cIOSX rev21: controller lag [FIXED!]

daveabol, nice you fixed it! Could you share the source or diff. If you like to use the modified elf with other bases, just replace elf in rev21 folder, then build rev21 wads. See this x4mers post.

Hacking cIOSX rev21: controller lag [FIXED!]

It might be a different issue, so not related to hdd activity. Here's the changes between 2010-02-27 and 2010-07-31 commits. https://github.com/waninkoko/ehci-module/co...fbca327922c9837 https://github.com/waninkoko/ehci-module/co...e0156881a1cd758 So there are timer fixes and addition of the...

Hacking cIOSX rev21: controller lag [FIXED!]

Yes really slow, maybe about 5-10 times slower. I didn't measure it.

Hacking cIOSX rev21: controller lag [FIXED!]

I tried to comment out the whole title id retrieval, but lag was still there. There is some thread settings and priority changed in start.s, I reverted the changes and lag disappears. But then loading times increases a lot. I also tried to revert just thread priority and the lag issue was...

Hacking cIOSX rev21: controller lag [FIXED!]

Actually I haven't tested the compatability, what I tried was using base 58 in 250 and non of games was not working what I tested, but apparently it needs to be installed to 249 to work. In rev21 released thread there is some discussion about it.

Hacking cIOSX rev21: controller lag [FIXED!]

Because it's still buggy, many games are not working and it's slow.

Just rename the ehci-module.elf to EHCI.app

Hacking cIOSX rev21: controller lag [FIXED!]

So you mean installing rev21 base 58 to 249 and then loading games for example with rev21 base 56 from 250? I haven't tested that.

Hacking cIOSX rev21: controller lag [FIXED!]

I'm pretty worried that when ehci module is making wake up calls to disk every 10 seconds, and increases load_cycle_count, it wears my drive too quickly. So I compiled the latest ehci source from wanikokos git (commit f53e23c7f747cca9028ca6002b616b5a0fca378f), and disabled the watchdog for...

Hacking cIOSX rev21: controller lag [FIXED!]

And when we are talking about usb powered those has normally laptop HDDs (2.5"). If you have or have not this controller lag problem, can you check also your Load_Cycle_Count? You can check the smart data with smartmontools or with http://hddscan.com/ (Windows). With these tools you can set...

Hacking cIOSX rev21: controller lag [FIXED!]

Would it be possible to send ATAPI commands to HDD in Wii? I found a thread where someone already investigated it briefly, but at least that time it was not possible to send raw commands to HDD. For example writing 254 (0xfe) to register 0x05 would prevent most drives for sleeping and parking...
