    Yea you have to play with the laser because they are only programed to follow the smaller disks. If you just put in a disk without messing with it it wouldn't read like half the disk.

    Did you delete the save on your Wii??? You can't have 2 at the same time. Also sometimes photos or records from previous saves don't get deleted with the main save and fuck things up or at least that's what happened with mine.

    Yea, this happens to me all the time too. It occurs when you have to many cheats activated. This happens with every cheating device AR, Gameshark, Codebreakers, ect. Anyway go back to your computer and activate less cheats. It should work then.
