    Yep, it turns out you are correct, I just bought a 8gb SD card from the nearby store and it works now. Of course I can format my 64gb card as you said but since I took that from my phone I will have to use the new card I bought.

    I just got a R4 Upgrade Gold Pro 2018 edition and I tried two different kernals suggested for my card but I can't get it to work on either my DS Lite or my New 3DS XL 11.0.6.39E, all I get is red text saying menu with a question mark. I also wonder if my Samsung 64gb micro SD card is not...

    I found that ozmodchips provides flash carts with this ntrboot method which you talked about, should I look into that?
