    Just bought a switch and it came with 8.0.1 (unpatched), should i revert it to 7.0.0 or is it safe to use 8.0.1 (not sure if any of the fuses or anything are burnt or not)

    Hey thanks for your concern, i've been told that all switches are able to enter RCM mode irrespective of it being patched or not. Only difference is that you might not be able to inject the payload. I've tried hitting up all my second hand stores and nothing proved fruitful :(

    Cheers will try :( auto Thanks for reply, its in the maybe section hence the difficulty! RCM jig that I have already has the copper so won't be able to take your suggestion and yes still need to get the first RCM boot before I can autoRCM :(

    Hi guys need a lil help. I'm unable to get the RCM for my switch going to check out if my switch can do all this homebrew business. I've used two jigs, and tinfoil with no luck - is there perhaps another way to boot up into RCM - preferably one that doesnt have to use the power and + button?

    While holding the volume + power on, it does nothing (like it should) but its not popping up on device manager. To add onto this, when i press the power button once it boots normally. No SD or game card either.

    Thanks for the reply - i was actually using the same guide but not working. Wondering if its because im shorting pin 8 that its not booting into rcm

    Trying to boot into RCM mode - cant seem to get it using tinfoil and a 3d printed rcm jig, just wanted to confirm, if you short any other pin then required would the device not turn on at all? (turns on after i remove the jig, while holding it for a while)

    I accidentally updated to 7.0.0 no NAND backup, if i reset it to factory settings would it revert to the deafult software version?
