    Soldering a cut up cat5 cable isnt going to help you very much. The points are like 0.2mm best to get a practice board and go from there. You need paste to put the heatsink back. Just get some arctic silver or whatever people use now for CPU's.

    Yes man that is way too much paste. Its basically doing absolutely nothing, the heat is being transferred up the copper to the fan anyways. That shield over top of that isnt really doing anything. If anything you just need it on the actual copper bar. Too much paste has always been counter...
