    Hacking HBC on 3.1E

I know it works on 3.2, and to avoid 3.3. I've just installed it on 3.1E anyway, so I'll see what happens if SSBB has 3.2 on the disc

    Hacking HBC on 3.1E

Has anyone installed the Homebrew Channel on a 3.1 Wii, then updated to 3.2 and still had everything working ok? I were finally going to get around to installing it on my 3.1E Wii, but I'm wondering if I should update it to 3.2E first, either by seeing if SSBB Eur has 3.2E on the disc when it's...

The nfo is named sushi-wsporti.nfo, but the rest of the files are named su-wsporti.rXX, or at least it they are on the binaries.

Wii Virtual Console News in a separated box would be better!

Maybe the new section should be called Wii Channel Releases as it includes other stuff like Opera and may also include WiiWare in the near future.

Wii #0081 - Streets of Rage 2 (USA)

I agree, I refresh my feed reader and the GBATemp Wii list is full of VC/Channel dumps again. Perhaps they should go into a new section. (edit) nm, I hadn't spotted the other thread

    Supercard slot-2 firmware v1.85

Thanks to the SuperCard team for updating the old cards, I'm still using a slot 2 Mini SD in my old style DS. It would have been very easy for them to have made the older cards obsolete to force people to buy newer ones.

Chronicles of Riddick on (the old) Xbox was good, but otherwise I agree most licence games are pap.

Wii #0588 - Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn (Europe)

Re the updates. My Wii is 3.1E (2.0E out of the box, 2.1E from the internet, 2.2E from Paper Mario, mini update from Metroid Prime 3, 3.1E from Mario Galaxy, mini update from DK crappo racing bongo thing - in that order, I think) Fire Emblem just installed another one of those mini updates...

Wii #0582 - Bully: Scholarship Edition (USA)

If you listen to Keith Vaz/Jack Tompson or read the Daily Mail I agree with Icarus, this was great on PS2 and I also preferred it to GTA - the music when you complete a mission is nice too Well worth a look.

@SylverReZ, I dislike the kind of drm where you have to play single player games online all the time bc of some verification bs

@Xdqwerty, Don't use games that have Easy Anti-Cheat as its been exploited many times.

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

@SylverReZ, i think they have been doing that since late 2000s

Either that or their old games were unfinished aswell but we can't notice it
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I never knew about it at the time but a fixed version was available but you had to mail in your broken copy lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So that version is semi rare
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@Psionic Roshambo, I have a rom of the ds version of impossible mission
