Nintendo fined 35 million euros by the French government due to Switch 1 Joycon malfunctions

In my experience, the PS5 controllers are just as bad, and seem significantly harder to repair, plus they don't offer free replacements. (Everything before Switch/PS5 has been fine.)

Nintendo announces price increases across the board, set to come into effect from September in western regions

Hasn't it already sold like twice as much as the WiiU ever did?

Nintendo announces price increases across the board, set to come into effect from September in western regions

Every time I see people talking about RAM prices finally going down, I go over to look at the price charts on PCPartPicker and absolutely nothing has changed.

Firmware 22.1.0 released for Switch and Switch 2, features unprecedented levels of stability

In addition, detailed patch notes of what got fixed just invites people to go "wow look at all these things they had to fix, this must be buggy software". I'm not making this up, that happened to Factorio because of their detailed patch notes and bug fixes, even though that game is extremely stable.

Valve unveils three new hardware products with the new Steam Controller, Steam Frame and Steam Machine

Apparently they said it's "comparable to" a 7600XT. 1763061382 Based on the Linus Tech Tips video about this, they will not be taking a loss on these. It makes sense, they're just pcs - they don't want to take a loss on people potentially buying these solely to use as non-steam PCs (remember...

Nintendo is requesting $4.5 million in damages from a Reddit moderator

So this guy was making money off of hosting pirate shops, was told multiple times to stop and kept doing it? Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Of course they pick and choose. New fiscal report shows that physical game sales only made up 3% of PlayStation's revenue

How is it any more inconvenient to get physical games? You just order one online and it arrives at your door. Also, why should people who do not care for physical games pay for a disk drive they don't need? PC games have been digital only for ages, consoles will likely do the same sooner or...

    Nintendo Direct - September 12, 2025 - Metroid Prime 4: Beyond launches December 4

Have you even played Palworld? It doesn't look that similar. If anything, it's a ripoff of Dragon Quest Builders.

Nexus Mods' owner has stepped down and sold the website to new owners

On the other hand, I'm wondering whether this will mean killing 18+ mods at some point. That kind of stuff is bad for advertisers and other potential revenue sources.

Steam's native Game Recording is now available to all Steam users

There is an impact on PS5, they just don't allow you to disable it. That footage has to be saved somewhere. As far as I know, the performance impact is not all that large on modern PCs though.

So why is this stuff unavailable in the EU anyway? Legal reasons?

Nintendo has taken down the Link's Awakening fan remake

What the hell did people expect? It's literally just a pirated version of the game.
