Hardware could not start the software

Have you tried to unplug/remove everything from slots (game, sd card, controllers) and start console without everything? Looks like you have Mariko switch it's patched so i assume you don't have custom FW. Issue might be related to the hardware. Check charging USB-C port with magnification. May...

    Hardware Switch Repair advice needed.

I mean if it's just a lite hobby you can use the cheapest one you can find or for continuity test even use bulb, wires and a battery :whip: It's always possible to buy used one, i finally got myself Fluke 179 very used and dirty for less than half price. After 2h it became like new, just needed...

Hardware Should Switch Lite fan always be on or not?

Lite has Tegra X1 "Mariko" chip and they are very quiet and cold. If you can't feel excessive heat at the back of your console you are good. Fan kicks in only when switch is heating up. On mine i can't feel heat even after few hours of play and fan is barely spinning.

It's always different when you actually try to micro-solder urself, things are escalate too quickly, but you learn. About multimeter: it's hard to miss with Flukes something like 115, 117, 177, 179 will do the job, they are pricy but worth the money. You can get used one from eBay with 30-40%...

    Hardware Switch Repair advice needed.

Love this guy! Subscribed on him since his first nintendo switch video. Exact path you will have to go thru if you never had micro-soldering experience and will repair it yourself. That is why you have to take it slow, and practice A LOT on cheap broken electronics before proceeding. If you...

    Hardware Switch Repair advice needed.

Looks like it charges perfectly fine and you got battery fully charged, what is why charging IC dropped current completely. Before opening it up and trying to solve issues with "soldering iron" make sure it's not a fw issue. Few times i purchased broken switches from eBay which just needed a fix...

Hardware Switch Won't turn but boots in Hekate

Few months ago I spent 100$ to get Broken Flir One Pro for repair, it wasn't turning on. Later i found an information that Flir had faulty batch where over time from CPU heating pads were lifting due to board wrapping, so it was no-fix. But interesting fact is that thermal camera used there an...

Hardware Switch Won't turn but boots in Hekate

Checked both consoles under Thermal camera, only BQ area is heating up. With time CPU slowly heating, but those temps are normal. BQ temp is the same as in normal console when it's charging.

Hardware Switch Won't turn but boots in Hekate

Few years ago i had switch where all power circuit was working perfectly fine, but switch wont turn, stuck at 5v 0.46a So turned out it had bent LCD pins which were shorting LCD circuit, after LCD connector replacement board started to work. I had it once and before mentioned issue showed up...

Hardware Vconn input to M92T36 Explanation

Just v been repairing switch with same issue, M92T36 also responsible for charger side switching. It's very easy to test: if you don't have TPD2E1B06 chip on the back side of the board, just check if any of red-circled pins are shorted to ground in this case half of M92T36 isn't working, due to...
