    Hacking Question Preventing eFuse Burning

So basically there's probably little point to worry about efuses if my system has the RCM vulnerability if my main reason was to preserve the option of a cold boot solution if/when one becomes available.

    Hacking Question Preventing eFuse Burning

Is there even anyone working on a coldboot solution? I haven't really kept up with the latest since around the time CDNSP died.

    Hacking Question Preventing eFuse Burning

My system came with 4.1 and I've been using AutoRCM ever since I got a SX Pro. I've been hoping that at some point there'd be a way to load the entire exploit chain automagically like my 3DS so I don't need to fish out and charge the payload dongle every time I reboot my Switch.

    Hacking Question Preventing eFuse Burning

Is there any point to preventing eFuse burning anymore? As I understand it, the point of it was to allow systems to be downgraded to earlier OS versions in the event someone ever created an automatic payload delivery system similar to the 3DS. Aside from TX's upcoming soldered in chip, which I...

    Hacking TX Dongle longetivity?

As far as the dongle goes... Yes, eventually the capacitors will go bad, but it should take years, maybe even decades. The same fate awaits all the capacitors in your Switch; entropy impacts everything. As far as the SX OS license goes, TX is very clear that the SX OS license is tied to your...

    Hacking Discussion 6.0 Ban Watchout

This is among the reasons I refuse to pay for online services like Xbox Live or whatever else. They can up and ban you at any time, for any or no reason, and they don't owe you so much as an apology. Insult to injury is probably that they won't bother canceling any auto-renew you may have set...

Hacking Question Wouldnt it be violating some law to restrict access to downloading the rest of games like L.A. Noire

If you actually read the text of the DMCA, it is vastly overblown in terms of what it actually covers. It requires two elements to violate the law. First, you have to defeat some kind of encryption or copy protection, second you have to distribute it for commercial gain/profit. Sure, if the...

Hacking Question Wouldnt it be violating some law to restrict access to downloading the rest of games like L.A. Noire

With games like LA Noire and Wolfeinstein it may get a little more murky, but for the majority of games... If you buy a game from the eShop and Nintendo then takes deliberate steps to prevent you from being able to access that game, Nintendo would be the selling merchant. Obviously if you get a...

Hacking TX Announces SX OS v1.9 with more v6.0 support and 'Update SX OS' feature via Switch

You should be able to use a SX Pro on a banned Switch, no problem. You may need to use something like 90DNS to trick the console into thinking it got a response from Nintendo's servers so you can get an IP address and use the FTP server and OTA update. As for unbanning... that's not possible...

Hacking Question Getting my Banned switch online again.

If you are willing to risk a few bucks, try suing Nintendo in small claims court for the cost of the Switch + tax and filing fees, etc. Odds are, they won't even bother sending anyone to the hearing because it would cost them more than you're suing for, and the judge may award a default judgment...

Hacking Question Wouldnt it be violating some law to restrict access to downloading the rest of games like L.A. Noire

I would like to see this actually litigated. In the US, my guess is you could take Nintendo to small claims court for the cost of the game and they wouldn't even bother sending anyone to the hearing, so you'd likely get a default judgment since it'd almost certainly cost them more than whatever...

Hacking TX Announces SX OS v1.9 with more v6.0 support and 'Update SX OS' feature via Switch

Now that they have OTA updates, about the only thing left is being able to boot into SX OS without removing it from the dock. I also wouldn't mind emuNAND, but I can live without that for the time being.

Hacking Question Anyone tried using a dongle on the dock?

What if you spliced the dongle into the USB C port used to charge the system and send the video out to the HDMI port? Say, for instance, you put in a USB C hub between the dock and the charger/dongle? So it's something like Charger + dongle ----> Hub ----> Dock Anyone out there have a USB C...

    Hacking 'older' sx os versions?

Just grab 1.8. It was just making sure that people who want to run 6.0 are able to do so; you don't have to be running 6.0.
