    I did exactly that, but sadly I got the "Menu?" error, in which I believe means that the firmware is not compatible.

    Hey, I keep getting the "load rom errcode= 4" and more on my R4i Card (v 1.41), and I'm sick of it. Half the games I put on wont work. Anyway, any recommended firmware for it?     Hacking Wood R4 BUGS and Compatibility

    My issue is in relation to getting wood to work for the R4i Gold Version: 1.4.1, I've downloaded this in hopes that it would work, however to no avail. I simple get the "Menu?" error. Any ideas? Help is much appreciated.
