Omega ruby looks fine on my end with citra GCC7.3 Qt5.10.1 generic sandbox 20180514(Although I'm at the very beginning of the game). Try disabling the reinterpretation hack and see if that does anything.

The hack doesn't seem to work on his latest build. I see no performance difference with it on or off. The prior build showed similar issues like sicks' build, although far less severe.

I don't keep track of intel cpu performance with citra as I'm an amd user in that regard, but is easy to test. Go whack an astalos an you will know immediately if the performance is stable or not.

It does come at a cost however. The hack prevents slowdowns during flashbombs, roars and fpsreaperastalos. If your comp is strong enough to deal with those you have nothing to worry.

It's the reinterpretation hack. Shadows work as intended if you disable it.

Mmmm, words like official+server usually are repellents to me. Didn't cross my mind to check that out. EDIT: @asferot There isn't.

Asking here because why not. Is there a discord server for MH citra players?

Sicks's new builds won't slowdown during roars, flashbombs nor in front of astalos(probably because of the hack mentioned a few times here). No online play however so stick with canary when playing with friends.

Been toying with some of the older builds shared here around nov-dec and amusingly, roars, flashbombs and astalos don't cause a slowdown. I'm terribly curious to know if this is related with threaded-vtx or the format reinterpretation hack mentioned above. EDIT: First canary with texture cache...

@midoraku Watched the videos and oh my, those are some pretty good numbers. My friend who I was playing with had one bit of slowdown when things got chaotic but she is no good for comparison here because her PC is too far on the good end for me to speculate which component made the difference(...

Ah good to know then. Was puzzled about the exact cause as I had not met such massive fps yet. Just by looking at him I go down to 20-25(from a max unlocked speed of 70ish) and as soon a neon lights show goes on, it gets as bad as 15. Normal speed at native however so all good in the end. Thanks...

So... How much gpu power one needs to render astalos at any res other than native without fps drops (also flashbombs and roars).

I love official citra being hacks free and going for accuracy as top priority. That being said, I also love coming to this thread and take a look at hacks, work in progress code, or proof of concept functions that might never get merged on official releases. The main issue here is that the...

For those who are still concerned about artifacts showing up in MH, a solution was given in reddit. "Go into the qt-config.ini file in C:/Users/your username/AppData/Roaming/citra/config and change the hw_shaders in the Renderer part to 2." jroweboy later explained what it does: "Runs vertex...

How many games are showing artifacts and/or missing effects? I'm testing The mercenaries 3D and it seems to have the exact same behavior as MH games. MT framework shenanigans maybe?
