    No I don't mean that it doesn't completely not work. It used to work on the other two computers, but also messed up after I used it alot. So in this case, how would I fix the USB, can I actually format it without it disconnecting?

    Well, it doesn't do the same thing on my dad's laptop. But on my other computer, like this computer, I plug it in alot there so it stopped working at the other one too. It works on my dad's laptop, but using that isn't an option since he uses it for his work PLZZ HELP!!

    Well, I don't think it could've gotten a virus--I haven't used it at all for a month or two, and there is no internet on it..I think it could be the motherboard, because when I started it up before and tried to use the USB ports, it didn't work while trying to copy MP3 files to an MP3 Player..
