I'm proud to release the first beta of my SDHC/USB Loader cfg config.txt creator.

To answer steve-p, it's written with PureBasic, so porting it to Linux or MacOS is easy.

You can download it here : Config Maker
But feel free to reshare.

Sazzles advices were good, so the GUI is now smoother (screenshot updated).

TO DO LIST :
- Add Wide screen support (since I'm on 4.3 i focus on this screen format, but that's not a big work)
- Add missing options (more little colors options)
- Add Browsing to MP3 file (at this point, the file needs to bee music.mp3)
- Add color chart images in drop boxes instead of naming
- Save requester (config.txt file is now saved in the app folder).

Why so many dropdown boxes for yes/no questions? Wouldn't checkboxes be a lot better?

Not a bad idea, I could make something like this in vb.

EDIT: From the looks of that screenshot, your missing some options such as password to use.

It would be nice if you included a bunch of sample config.txt files that you could load up and edit.

what's it written in?
and any chance of a source release so it can be adapted to Linux or OSX?
or Solaris, BSD etc.

The creator works fine but I haven't tried the config file yet.

Just one small bug: when I wanted to choose a background image I had just realized that I needed a .png file so I decided to close the Browse Background box but it wouldn't work so I have to go in task manager to close it.

To my knowledge there is NO passwords in "CFG Loader" by oggzee, the program in OP is for that loader.

But yeah, there are still quite a few options more to add (closing in on 50 options in CFG Loader).

Looks awesome, will try some of the rev and this creator this week-end !

~edit~

U know what will be good, is to have a sample on-screen of the options u are choosing.

ex.

after selecting the background, have another windows showing the background.
when u select the layout, u can see the difference on this windows depending of ur choice.
same thing with the x and y console settings and covers settings.
and so on !!!

If you choose covers it removes ocarina, if you chose ocarina it removes covers.

Where does the config.txt save? it should just open in Notepad then you could save where you want.

If you open the background browser and change your mind there is no way to close it.

It is possible to change the size of the dialog by grabbing the edge of the screen, you can then shrink it hiding the text options.
