I got a little careless and ended up installing more VC games than my Wii's memory could handle. So now all its doing is showing the health safety screen, then making the startup sound on a black screen.

I recalled a couple people doing this before and being able to fix it easily, but this looks exactly like a banner brick. I'm pretty sure I got good VC wads since I got them from a reliable private tracker, so it shouldn't be that.

But is there any way to recover my Wii at this point, like a direct boot DVD, or am I going to have to tough it out till BootMii is released?

Aw, this sucks. I have no soldering skills (edit:oh wait, that goes in a GC memory card slot, nevermind), so that'd be at least $50 to get this repaired. But I am pretty sure BootMii doesn't require any sort of installation to work, since its a boot override.

Someone please tell me I'm not SOL until BootMii releases... I really want to play World of Goo.

Bootmii is a piece of software. You need to be able to get the Wii running so you can install it.

It's protection against bricking, not a repair for an already bricked console.

Exactly what he said ^

I think you will need SaveMii not BootMii

SaveMii is sold out now so you'll have to wait.

awh, does booting into recovery mode not help @ all?
hrm, for future personal reference, would having a modchip help in any way, by setting a disk to autoboot or something?
then again, i'm on 3.3u, so trucha signed disks probably wouldn't work (actually, that setting isn't signed, correct?)

I can't boot any discs right now so that probably won't work. =/
Thanks anyways tho.

I'm gonna go to sleep now... I'll be back on in a few hours to check up on replies. Or maybe in a few minutes, if this keeps me awake.

BootMii wil help for this!
When you use it, you are able to load some software immediatly, by example, the HBC, then you can use AnyTitleDeleter.
