I was wondering if it was possible to mod the Hardware of a regulär 2ds in a way that allows for a hinge System! I know the System has a Single screen instead 2 separate ones, wich makes is u able to fold, but is there a way to make those separate those screen in a way? That is I think the biggest problem to over ome, as splitting the Board shouldnt be too difficulty. Any answer are appretiate! If it's simply not possible, id like to know as well of course.

The hardest part IMO would be separating the board. Also, remaking those L + R buttons. I have a taken apart 2ds if you want photos of the inside for your inspection?

Nah I doubt it! After all Buttons are just a in and out... It dosnt even matter what way you put em on! You wouldnt need to do anything complicated with them... As for splitting the board, it might be a little harder but it's still just cutting it up and reconnecting it with some wires

    @Xdqwerty, Yeah, I'd recommend having another OS just in-case you want to play games.

    At least Linux doesn't contain spyware than what Windows has.

    @SylverReZ, cuz of lag?
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    @Xdqwerty, No. Whenever you use the internet on Windows, Microsoft collects personal data and installs bloatware that isn't necessarily needed, such as Edge.

    @SylverReZ,
    I recall @impeeza mentioned some trick about not having bloatware when installing windows where you set up your country to "world" or smh like that

    Yes, you can debloat the operating system, but in some cases for me it just reinstalls them.

    @SylverReZ,
    I also recall my brother downloded a "non bloated" version of windows 11 on his pc

    @Xdqwerty yes, when you are installing Windows on the first steps you are asked for your current location, you MUST to select «international» so no bloatware is installed, because the bloatware is location based. if this night I have some time I will setup a VM and take screenshots.

OK no problem the issue is he would download DBZ movies and they where amazing usually like 2-8KB in size lol can't remember how many times I had to format and reinstall windows over his stupidity. I even explained to him about file sizes multiple times...
