it seems safe to remove the card at the hekate bootloader screen, and for convienence reasons (i use the inject method via pc connection each time to power it back on) this is nice.

is this fine to do or will it still be some risk of corruption, and i must always shutdown switch before removing the SD?

Removing and inserting SD cards in Hekate is considered to be safe
as long as you're not using any feature of Hekate to write data to the SD card like dumping your NAND.
But I would recommend using a FAT32 formatted card.

It is safe to eject in hekate, but don't eject too often, install your game via usb install and transfer files with ftp if possible, you don't want to kill that SD card flex port.

true i didn't think about that, I've been trying to install USB methods with no success, even no success installing at all (let alone USB) until I got awoo.

I need to look more into getting USB install working, the cable is fine as it is detected by tegra for USB launching the payloader

You can even install from a USB stick directly connected to the USB port (either through the dock or with a USB-C to USB-A adapter

ah I was starting to think of this, sounds good I think I might do something like this, as of now looks like I got it working straight off the PC finally, although I didn't test it by actually installing a game yet.

Not much luck using Goldleaf or Awoo, but finally TinFoil looks like it is working fine to directly browse my PC folders. Maybe with a usb stick none of them will have issues.

Have you tried testing other ports and/or computers?
