Ok so, I kinda feel like I know my shit when it comes to modding, but suddenly the last day or so, when I launch HBC from the system menu, it takes a DSI dump.

When I load it from priiloader, no problem at all. If I exit out to System Menu, then try HBC again, Crash.

Tried uninstalling, and reinstalling. After exiting hackmii, it goes into HB like nothing is wrong. I reboot the system, attempt launch HBC... DSI occured..

Please help before I throw this Wii through my wall.

EDIT:So when the DSI happens, I hit Reset.. and this happens

Hello.:)

Maybe the Homebrew Launcher is set to read from USB (or other Source) instead of the SD Card ?
(You know it for sure - Pressing "1" on the Wii Motion Controller and Select the Source.:))

Maybe the DSI Exception occurs because the Hombebrew Channel tries to read from an Source he "can not" read
for whatever Reason.:(

Thank you.:)

Yes, I might second @alexander1970 statement.
Perhaps... you have an external hard drive on your USB Slot 0 connected while launching Homebrew?
If the HDD is NOT on FAT32 it will bring you this DSI error.

Yeah, it's a 2Tb, 1st part is Fat32 850GB the rest is NTFS,... and it only does it when I try to launch from the system menu,..I can get to it from priiloader, which makes me think its not an SD partition issue

I've also reinstalled using hackmii 1.2 repeatedly

"Maybe the Homebrew Launcher is set to read from USB"
I mean, how is that even done? I've never heard of redirecting HBC to USB, so how could that have happened?

It's your HDD causing this problem then. When you unplug your HDD Homebrew Channel will be back to normal.
If you want to use your HDD with Homebrew (at the very least being able to boot Homebrew Channel) you have to format your HDD to fat32.

NOT ALL HDD's ARE COMPATIBLE WITH WII
That's a well known issue since the very early days of USB Loader GX (talking about 2009 and even before those times)

Let me double check this, because I had to use MMM to load the .elf file, doesn't HackMii automatically use IOS80 when it loads?

I've had this drive and configuration since I first modded it last year,...nothing has changed. my WiiFlow/USB Loader both read my drive and my games...why SUDDENLY would HBC not like my hard drive???

Yes, unless you're updating Homebrew Channel or reinstalling it.
Not sure why you'll use HackMii right now though.

Probably your HDD has gone bad?
Might be something to do with your USB port? Maybe going faulty or something.

My hard drive is fine, I can assure you,...as I said, USB loaders are still recognizing and playing games from it,...just because HBC is having an issue doesnt mean my hard drive is somehow bad.

And you use Hackmii to get to the BootMii/HBC installation don't you??

You reinstalling Homebrew Channel?
Ah, I see.

LOL thats what this whole post is about, My HBC won't load from the Wii system menu, but it WILL load from priiloader.

When it loads from priiloader, all my apps are there AND they WORK,.. so it cant be an issue with my SD card OR my USB drive.
The forwarders installed in my system menu all still work and they all point to apps on the SD card. My SD card is fine.

As u can see, my USB drive and the loader app (on my SD Card) are working as they should.

Sorry Guys!! I completely forgot to report back here,... I use a 128Gb microSD, and I guess all it took was re-seating the micro card inside the SD adapter, I didn't even reboot the Wii,...stuck the sd card back in, went to the HBC, loaded like there was never a problem :ohnoes:... ^_^:yaywii:
