I'm installing the game and will try, it's probably important to get the folder structure right, first the GUI then the mod files. If copied right out from the zip file it may not work, since the structure is:
\bin\config\r4game\user_config_matrix\pc
And should probably be:
\010039400E8D6000\romfs\bin\config\r4game\user_config_matrix\switch (010039400E8D6000 or any title ID your version has)
That should be the first thing to modify, then for the files I still have to look about them.
Title ID folder should be either in atmosphere/titles or reinx/titles or sxos/titles.
Well I got as far as getting an invisible menu tree that can be clicked into and you can see the different options labeled obscurely. Enabling them has no effect on the game though[emoji24]
I was out of home, going to try now. But earlier for me I was having trouble getting even the mod option to show on the menu.
Tried fixes like the Custom Localization and the fix of it from the godmode mod, but nothing yet. Will try something different using the mod tools.
EDIT: Yup, also got now the ghost menu. Will investigate further...
Edit 2: Messing with the settings I could briefly alter some of the game aspects, I could not deal damage to bosses, but could deal to the little ones they spawn sometimes, and my health regenerated by itself twice.
Maybe it`s because the switch version menu is different? I will try now on docked mode.
Edit 3: Docked mode makes no difference to how the menu appears, nor it's effects in game. Here is how it all looks like:
If you are curious as to what the options should do, they are on the english or whataver language string file, like this:

As said in the main Witcher 3 mod thread, scripts won't load since they need to be compiled which is not possible on the Switch. I'm in the process of making it possible but right now it does not work.
By compiled, you mean merged? As I said, somehow depending on the options that are turned on, some scripts already work, like I was able to get second life working for example.
If you mean merged, at the current state of the tools that we already have in existence, it's worth a shot trying to merge them, but since it requires reading the MMC on the PC, can't try it right now.
It's also possible that the sets of the scripts instructions need to be reworked to function properly on the switch, but that's another story.

I just kept messing with the settings, to be honest it's not a big deal, quite useless since against stronger foes you would die multiple times.
If I'm not mistaken, it has to do with modeLife option, and it's the middle one. But by itself it won't work.
Will try to replicate it.
