Hey everyone, I'm new around here. I've been reading around trying to find a solution to a problem I have a Switch. I recently bought a second Switch (for CFW) that was advertised as one with a battery issue thinking that since I got parts lying around I might just be able to replace it. Instead, I got a bricked one, at least I think. This unit will only show the Nintendo logo and go to a blank screen. I tried to run make an emuNAND and boot into that thinking I might be able to jump ahead in the process but no luck there either. seems that between the 4 different choices in hakete two would go to the logo and the other two would just show a blank screen. on the plus side, Android works well so there's that...

From what I've been able to figure out this might be an issue with NAND being corrupt. but I can't know for sure. I've been reading here and on Reddit trying to find a solution to this with no luck. I have no NAND backup since I didn't start the process. I do however have access to multiple hackable switches. if anyone has an idea of what I can do to revive this unit, I'd appreciate it. I don't expect this to be 100% but if I can get it to do the thing I bought it for that would be nice even if it might be banned. I'm willing to put the time to learn what I can to make it work. please hit me up with ideas. and obviously, if there's a thread or post you think answers this issue. please help me find it.

Thanks.

I think if you can boot hekate and make a backup of boot0/1 i think you can build a new nand...at least i think so using Choidujour. I used it once to downgrade without a backup.

Thanks for the reply! I can boot Hakete, I've made a dump of all 3, Boot1/2 and Raw just to make sure...
Any chance you can point me in the right direction. I've only used Choidujour once to actually upgrade a friends switch from within it. don't mind giving it a shot.

This is done using Choidujour (not ChoidujourNX) the PC program. You can go here and read the manual downgrade instructions which will help you to create a fresh clean nand backup.

My 4.1 clean NAND got corrupt somehow. I've tried rebuilding it (successfully) but still not able to boot into the rebuilt version. I have backups of boot 0/1 and a large dump from kezplez pre lock pick. It backed up package and keys etc. Anything i can do with this to get 4.1 working?

Cfw on 5.1 will boot but OFW will not even bypassing the fuses. Why would OFW not work but cfw?

So I read this a few times just to make sure I understand it. If I understand correctly, I'm following the guide to downgrade my tablet so it would rebuild the NAND preferably at 6.0/6.1 and upgrade it after it revives. If it does...

Thanks, I'll give it a go probably later today.

That's what I'd recommend if you don't know the current firmware of the nand. If you knew the current firmware you wouldn't have to downgrade you could just use the guide to build a clean nand of the current version and flash that.

Alright, I started the process and now I'm on step 9 and can't get the keys to test alright. I'm stuck on the first set of keys and tried getting them both from the dump and from the BKS/TSEC, no luck spits out the same thing over and over. Is there anything I'm missing? or any other way I can get the keys? I know these are console specific but what do I the dumped ones don't work?

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I think the previous guy before you might have made a NAND Restore from another switch to the switch which you bought..

That's what happened with me as I accidentally restored from my other switch to my original switch and the whole thing became a corrupted mess.... The switch accepted the BIS keys in Hactool, but only from the other switch and not the original switch's keys anymore! So, I gave up on fixing it and it turned into a paper weight sadly.... The Prodinfo was also damanged in the process and the issue is it doesn't boot.. If it did at least would've been good, but seems I don't have a NAND Backup for my original.. EPIC Fail :)
