Are you interested in a complete replacement of TwlBg which includes all patches?

Pixel perfect is already present, just hold start before loading any NDS/i game. But I get you mean scaled pixel perfect. That is not possible because you would need to increase the image x2 its size (both width and height) and the 3DS doesn't have that much resolution unfortunately, the max we can get is 1.25x and that means that the image is estreched in uneven values in relation to the original, so the filters are some kind of "Trick" to avoid images to get messed up.
Damn. Well, widescreen will look cool anyways.

What bytes do we have to edit in twlfirm in order to achieve wide screen?
We're probably not going to get an answer to this (it's been asked in this thread before). Wait patiently for Sono to release the updated patcher which will include Widescreen support.

He already answered me, go check the previous pages, it should be there

Here it is.

I can't make a manual patching tutorial, because it involves a lot of steps, and you have to scan the code manually byte-by-byte (CTRL-F is not possible), checking each byte by hand. I doubt you want to check ~1.7 MILLION bytes manually...

@Robz8 , what happens if I activate the widescreen option on TwilightMenu++ without Sono's patcher?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I mean, I know it doesn't change anything, but what does that option do without the patcher?

It simply does nothing.

I suppose you'd say that, but what is weird is that the widescreen would activate only with the patcher, so no option within TwilightMenu++ would change anything, right?
Right. The next version of TWLPatcher will make a widescreen TwlBg file at "sd:/_nds/TWiLightMenu/TwlBg", and TWLMenu++ will reboot into that specific TwlBg, if widescreen is enabled.
If that file isn't found, then widescreen will not activate.

But that would mean that the widescreen patch would only work on TwilightMenu++
