ROM Hack [WIP] MHXX English Patch Extended

If people are looking for the full English patch then Google that iso site and search mhxx. Please stop asking here for it now as @Darksigil is working on his one. It isn't fair that his post is getting hijacked.

Either search that iso site or wait here for @Darksigil patch to be released.

I don't think the other patches should be asked about here, however it is important to note that this is from-the-ground-up for 3DS. The other patch is great and all, but because it uses a translation made for the Switch, the font size had to be adjusted to fit most of the text, which makes everything blurry and harder to read. This strains my eyes over time, and text is everywhere in this game, so it's constantly annoying to me.

Upon release or possibly sooner it'd be a good pro to point that out in the description, some people may need to know why they'd want to use this patch over another, and the proper font size is going to be a big part of that for me, because I don't think that's possible to fix in the other version (without text extending outside of boundaries a lot more).

You can't exactly make a judgement on the already released patch if you haven't even seen it or tried it for yourself. A lot of the issues @wallflowertrist mentions have been fixed in the V2 release of the patch. I have confidence in Darksigil that his patch will be more than welcomed when it is released, but to say that the Full translation patch out right now isn't as "high quality" is incorrect. For what it offers, it is really good.

I have been using it myself for the past two weeks, and since then I have yet to run into issues or crashes. To try and bring up "legality" on a forum of this nature is pretty ironic, as even playing the game on anything but a stock Japanese 3DS breaks ToS 50 ways to hell.

Still, there is no doubt that I'm eager to have a properly translated version of the game which offers no caveats.

No matter how many times the previous posts have mentioned, there will always be some idiot who doesnt read everything and realize that this isnt the place to ask for links to other projects. This thread is solely made for Darksigil's efforts on his patch. Stop asking on this thread and just PM someone.

Pretty excited for this because I got into Monster Hunter World and want to try some of the other games but I don't have a switch.

Yup actually lol, I'm about to move soon, but I've finished descriptions for several weapon categories, and most of Pokke, Yukomo and Bherna village's NPCs are fully translated as well as a few from the Soaratoruim. In addition to a bunch of other stuff. After I finish polishing a few things up I'll try to release some updated screenshots and give everyone a proper % of completion, hopefully sometime next week.

Quick question though, how would one be able to employ this patch on say a stock "New" 3DS XL or is it just going to be straight up impossible to do that with a vanilla setup with a cartridge I might buy?

Imposiible bro. You need a cfw 3ds to play translations and out of region games.

I'm excited for this one. New to Monster Hunter XX but played other mh games. The patch I installed also lacks NPC patch. I'll be waiting for this one. Thank you for your hardwork .
