Hi People,

Im in need of some advice advice about switch hacking

I have a switch from last year June. I have a lot of e-shop games bought and ofcourse a lot of retail games. My switch runs on the latest firmware. In the past I did manage to use fusee gelee and made a nand backup. But then I stopped, reinstall everything and havent touched the hacking scene since for the switch. Seeing the R4S dongle and the REINX im temped to try again.

So what do I want to do:
Only emulation and backups, I don't want to pirate games, I rather buy them and support developers.

So some of my questions:
If I install REINX , can I return to my normal NAND so I can go online and use the E-shop? How does that work if possible?

What do you guys recommend to do?

Thanks in advanced ( Hope my English is ok!)

Would you hack it if theres even a slight chance to get banned? If no i'd say dont hack or buy a second switch for hacking.

You won't be able to go online since the switch tracks everything and will send the data to nintendo and ban you as soon as you go online with it in Stock Firmware
Not true. I am an example where ninty just won't ban me :D
Wasn't banned on 3ds and not still banned on Switch (I was cheating in online with 3ds and going online with Switch while having CFW). So, you might get banned, but it depends on how you do it. Going online on stock FW can be safe...

Same. I was cheating online in a few 3ds games, and I've been online with cfw more than a few times. I'm not banned on either console. As long as you do your research and your careful, you may not get banned. Ofc, ImI fully prepared for a ban, and tbh iim surprised they haven't banned me yet

Please don't let me have jinxed it

Ok you are true.
Let's say: The will ban you very likely. If you are just using the Homebrew Launcher you won't get banned directly (But it's still posible) but if you are playing online with Backup then you'll be banned very likely
How it's not: You hack your Switch and ever go online you will get banned.
How it is: You hacked your Switch, so there is a possibility that even on stock FW you might get banned, but it is very unlikely. On CFW, yea sure, that's your stupidity.
EU: If you disable telemetry, you might be somewhat safe (that's the case with me...)

Thanks for your reply,

So how is it possible that even on stock FW there is a chance you get banned? Is there a possibility to go to stock firmware ( and go online buying your stuff) even if you installed REINX?

Because
1. If you installed a game and update it on stock FW, they probably can check whether or not a game is yours (or if it belongs to console at all).
2. Error logs
3. Maybe other logs??? Don't know.

Best thing to do is to backup your NAND before "hacking" your switch and when you want to go online, just reflash it back to the "safe" state. That's the safest thing right now.

Hahaha I know, believe me I've been doing that my college years back in the days ( FTP hacking, FXP scene, Warez scene, Newsgroups ,etc ) But the thing is if you have so many "free games" it loses its value..and beyond that I would rather support the developer if its a good game to just pay for it. Playing emulation games is just because I don't own old systems anymore and still want to relive those days..and well the switch is a handy portable devices to play those games on it..if I wanted to...but I don't want to risk a ban because I spend a lot of money on games I like :) And well..most "free games" are not so free as you think..build in hacks / viruses and other stuff :)
