Hacking [POLL] SX OS with or without dongle?

Using a .NSP and then go online --> Ban
Using a .XCI and then go online --> Not ban
Proven many times, of course you gotta be careful in both cases.

OP here's the deal: If you don't care about online just go with the free alternatives like ReiNX or RajNX. If you don't care about online but want a portable solution you could either make your own dongle and jig or wait till September and get the SX gear which is just that, dongle and gear. If you DO care about online i guess SXOS could be for you since people have said they use that to play online with very little risks but still risky. If you want online with ZERO risks don't mod your console. Also keep in mind that Nintendo's online services are going to be subscription based starting September

Very scientific, especially considering the number of recent bannings of SX OS users following the same guidelines you mentioned. Again, not worth the $25 price tag. If you care about online, don't hack your console.

Check the ban reports and you'l see that is simply NOT TRUE

thanks guys! im gonna go with SX OS and dongle since i want the easiest streamlined method and experience and i think its worth the price IMO.
P.S. 1 dont want to start a new thread for a simple question.... Right now in my switch i have a 64GB micro sd with some legit games i bought and save files. Can i use that for the nand backup prior to hacking plus SX os usage etc? or do i need to start off fresh with an empty SD card?
P.S. 2 does gbatemp have a discord? for simple questions that dont require whole new threads lmao

SXOS doesn't have NAND backup options(I think), you'd need Hekate for that. As for a discord, no i don't think one exists specifically for GBATemp

I have not been banned and I use NSPs, I just followed your same advice mentioned above. The latest creport and Atmosphere's exosphere go a long way in preventing bans, something SX OS recently copy-pasted into their package, but ended up making worse by completely disabling all Nintendo online services.

For OP, get the dongle even if you don't want to activate the os, or R4s dongle, or wait for Dragon coin or for the solution from @evilsperm external or internal board
If you are good with soldering, get internal board.

As long as you have enough space on the SD card, any card will do. Though you might check to see if it's formatted in EXFAT format and not FAT32 or else you wont be able to fully back up your NAND

You have to plug it to your pc to check that

just get the pro with a high quality jig that your rails will appreciate in the long run. Dongle is also a big plus.

It's just like the Gateway vs Other CFW Wars on 3DS. If the OP says he wants SX OS since it's easier and they're willing to pay, let them (either way only Xecuter has XCI loading which is known to be definitely safer than NSP in Stealth Mode). Making suggestions is fine, not when it turns into an unnecessary 2 page argument that doesn't answer the question directly smh.
