I recently wanted to dump my ticket.db file so I can use it to reinstall any games that stop showing up despite being on the mSD, like what happens when you do a CTRtransfer.
But Decrypt9WIP fails to find the file, and using gm9 I went to the ticket location on my ctrnand and twln partitions, but both of them are empty with no ticket.db whatsoever, I also can't get my titlekeys file either.

I've obviously got tickets installed because I transfered everything from my n3ds using the default system transfer function.
I have the ticket.db dump from my n3ds that I backed up before the system transfer, so I have a folder full of the old individual tickets which means I can reinstall most of my games.
But I'm not entirely sure why there is no ticket.db on my n3dsXL. My NNID is still linked due to the system transfer, and I tried going through eshop a few times the last time I tried it to see if that would generate the db but no dice.

So it's not really a huge issue or anything since so far as I can tell it doesn't affect the console at all, but I just find it strange that it is only missing on this particular console and not my older ones.

I don't think fake tickets transfer with a system transfer.

No but not all my tickets are fake, and I transfered my mSD card from the old system to the new one which essentially just clones your old nand onto the new systems nand. Then I just imported the ticket.db with decrypt9 and all my games showed up rather than greyed out.

But that was when I first did system transfer which was a while ago. It is only now that I've noticed my ticket.db is actually missing, but my tickets are still individually installed. It just means I can't dump any of my tickets at all now, so for example if I wanted to move to a new system I'm screwed.

So I was wondering if anyone knew what exactly is going on, the ticket.db file should be present in my nand right?

Yes, in fact as far as I know there's no such thing as "tickets installed but no ticket.db" - that's the only place they are located (if you remove the file, the console boots correctly but to an empty home screen, at least on CFW)

Yeah that's why I'm so confused because everything is installed and I can uninstall/reinstall stuff to my hearts content. Yet the only system file that is missing is ticket.db.
I find my ticket.db in the usual place on my n3ds and even my o3ds, but for some reason the n3dsXL doesn't have a ticket.db file.

Is there any chance that it could be at another location?

South Park is great cause they always touch on relavent issues going on today, and make something funny out of it.

@BigOnYa were you always up to date on the current events and issues of the time or were there issues that you first found out thru south park
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Most of the time yea I knew, I watch and read the news regularly, but sometimes the Hollywood BS stuff, like concerning actors slip by me. I don't follow most Hollywood BS (example: the Kardasians)

  • S @ salazarcosplay:
@BigOnYa there were relevant issues before south park was made, that's why i think a south park prequel/spinoff would be great. Randy and his friends in their child hood

Yea, like them running in high school together, getting into stuff, and how they got hitched and had kids. And how the town of South Park was back then compared to now. That would be cool to see.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
    yeah
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@salazarcosplay if they made a prequel, it would still be about current issues, cause it doesn't make sense to make it about stuff that happened 30 years ago that nobody cares about anymore
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    it's too late
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
the older south park episodes about particular issues usually age poorly since the topic is no longer relevant

an exception is giant douche vs turd sandwich, that's always relevant :P
