This is a real scrubnoob question, but I'd been using rxtools until very recently installing luma in its place. When I go to update, do I just do it the normal 3DS prompt way? (after backing up first of course) Also I'm not positive I have armloaderhax, I only (conciously) installed Luma3DS.

So is it safe to assume browserhax is locked out at this point or is possible that it may reach 11.2 sometime? :ninja:
I'm asking not for my benefit but to just keep up with all knowledge of the scene.

11.2 doesn't have browserhax yet, however 11.0-11.1 might have it which is what people need for slowhax, but I'm not quite shure.

yes you may be able to use OOTHax even if you already have Luma in your system but you wont need it anymore if you already got the homebrew launcher..i would assume you are not actually running Luma or any cfw yet on your system since you are having trouble with cia and FBI..some homebrew apps needs you to have a cfw installed to be able to use it..pls refer to this guide if you want to install Luma cfw https://3ds.guide/ hope that helps..

No, its the other way around... I already have OoThax installed & homebrew launcher working. I want to add Luma to my unit so that I can install .cia files, etc.

Is this possible??

so are you running on cfw or just using oothax to get to homebrew launcher? when i mentioned about homebrew launcher i am talking about the cia file installed on your 3DS home menu not the one launched via OOThax..there is a lot of steps involved and it might help if you start reading this guide https://3ds.guide/ as it will tell you how to install Luma..

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite
