Hello guys! I have an Old3DS with a9lhax + Luma, and that has worked very well for me game-wise.
But finding a way to use cheats in this has always been a pain, and it doesn't always work. I can't really survive without my money cheats, so I was wondering what would be the best option for me to find a reliable way to use cheat codes (gatesharks or any others).
I've heard people talking about Gateway to use cheats but while trying to find it in here I've found another flashcard called Sky3ds. I don't even know if this one has cheats support.
Anyway, both of the two options are really EXPENSIVE. So it made me wonder if this is actually the only way?
If it is the only way, which one should I buy? Will my current configuration conflict with anything?

NTR should work for cheats, and it's free. Check out Gateshark2NTR too, it allows you to use Gateway cheats without a Gateway basically.
And nope, Sky3DS has no feature, that one is no exception.

ntr is free and works with cia files, but not really user friendly for finding your own cheats , if ntr dosent have enough cheats or doesn't have the cheats you wanted and you feel you need more then gateway is the only option with a fully featured noob friendly cheat finding utility

sky3ds has no extra cheating abilities overy a normal cfw with cia files

I do use NTR CFW but it won't work for pokemon sun and moon, which is the current game I need codes for.

Thanks! That's what I needed to know.

just a heads up from what I read currently gateway doesn't work with pokemon sun and moon, not tried it myself though so idk, but might be worth considering using the money you would spend on a gw to upgrade to a n3ds and sell your old system and you may not be out of pocket too much from it all

if you can get one cheap and really are looking for new codes for lots of games then gw is good, but if it's just for pokemon then a upgrade to a n3ds may be a better option in the long run

Oh yeah, true, I forgot they use extended RAM mode... Well then Gateway. That's what I used too for the "unlock clothes" cheat :P
Maybe you could find some cheap second hand ones from people who fully switched to free CFW, maybe in the trade area if/when you have access to that?

Thanks guys! I do use cheats for more games and since my console is already hardmodded (which I paid for), I'd prefer to keep it. Also, I checked the price for a new3ds and I noticed it'd be cheaper to buy a Gateway.
