I need help. All I want to do is convert a boot.dol to a .wad so I can launch homebrew from the wii menu. Does anyone have a tutorial/solution for this.

Use an app called CustomizeMii. It can make a forwarder channel (or even the app itself) that you can install onto the system menu. I suggest you use a base wad like static base to reduce the possibility of bricks because of broken banners.

Is there a tutorial (particularly with images) for this.

GBATemp won't let me upload the WAD. I need to upload it somewhere else.

Here it is. This is the version I use. It has no sound and no animation. But you can probably just download a WAD Manager channel because it's a very common channel. Just search on Google "wad manager channel". Though not all apps have custom channels, e. Wii Chatter, so you do have to make some yourself. If all the versions you find are out-of-date, just open the WAD in CustomizeMii and change the .dol it boots.

Heres what I've been using last five years:
https://ufile.io/da129

its wiininjas mod of wadmanager 1.7 - channel wad is in 'wad' folder and I've included all needed files.
If you wanna use your own wad manager just swap boot.dol, meta and icon from 'wadmanager' and still install the channel wad

I downloaded the GeckoOSMod.zip and used Customizemii to change the icon and banner to the icon of the homebrew I wanted to make a forwarder of (SD:\apps\(app name)\ipcon.png). I installed the .wad to Dolphin and I didn't get any errors and the Wii booted to system menu fine. The channel looked a bit weird(not invaild, just looked bad), and I have a photo of it(http://imgur.com/gallery/pMhhD). I couldn't click on the channel and see the banner because something was wrong the Wiimote settings.
