i prefer playing handheld on the actual thing, plus i like movability like , with a handheld i can lay down my belly whilst playing XD ..

for tv i have wiiu/ps3/ps4 u3u .. i will just save up abit more and buy the vita new in stores i will find one in the fw i want, but most likely the older version.

the thing that is troubling is the memory card, i will need another 70$ just for a 32gig card.
Might as well go for broke and just get the 64gb memory card.

I'm yet to run into any save file corruption problems yet. Everybody is saying don't leave your vitamin dumped game in sleep mode, but I've personally left a vitamin(beta version) dumped game in sleep mode for about 2 days straight (48+ hours) and it's fine. I am signed out of PSN too and WIFI is used very rarely for FTP duties.

Word on the grapevine is that the "250 missing syscalls" rumor is bullshit and the reason save files are getting corrupted is because it's just the unfortunate nature of running PS Vita software as homebrew!

hmm, but the vita games are not that large in size :/ .. so it would be waste you dont think?

well but if the hax will let us play psp (isos) later on, then the 64gig would be a must for me..

hm.. maybe i will do as you say, because the more space the better :/ just gotta wait abit more and save abit more..

can they be found for 90'ish $ ? plus free shipping or at leas 6$ shipping fees.

Dont Know if it relates but upon saving in steins:Gate a few minutes ago it said sth like failed to Save and The screen went black. Had no other option but to restart The Game. Can load a previous Save Game without issue and saving also just did work. Who knows what happened

I ran into the same problem with STEINS GATE, i think you cant put it in sleep mode, otherwise it wont save, everytime you finish you need to close the game.

tried searching google, but couldnt find a solution.

Not just the games themselves but also you have updates and dlc when those work, plus native vita homebrew/emulators, plus psp mode homebrew/emulators, plus if psp and ps1 games are ever working again there are those as well.

Cheapest i have seen atm for a 64gb memory card is play asia with 95$ plus 5$ to $15 for shipping, standard and express shipping.

true, i will get a 64gig thanks for the recommendation man haha.
i am sure i would regret not having more space and constantly deleting stuff would be a nuisance.

btw. if i were to just fiddle around with the henkaku hax in case i get my vita first and you know it comes with the 4gig card, do i have to redo the hax on the new memory card?

or would i need to backup and restore the 4gig card content onto the 64gig, or can i just start from scratch with the 64gig ?

From what i have read you install henkaku through the web browser on the new memory card and then just back up the games/apps from the old memory card and transfer them to the new memory card.

Just a note 64 GB. is 57GB nowadays. when it used to be 60GB. scamming sony/playasia..

This is actually somewhat incorrect. Memory cards, SD cards, hard drives, etc. are all sold in Gibibytes now instead of Gigabytes.

1 Gigabyte = 1,024,000,000 Bytes

But

1 Gibibytes = 1,000,000,000 Bytes

That's why when you put say an 8Gb card into your Vita it comes up as 7.xx (whatever it is)

Devices think in 1024's whereas storages are designed and manufactured in 1000's. Translation users automatically lose 24Mb per gig

its kind of the same for other tech related stuff, e.g my Nexus 6/6p both are supposedly 32, but it does not even have 30gb storage.

they show 25.98gb

Right, except with things like in built storage because those are shorted as I described plus they have space taken up by system resources.

yep, the os.

and well, we cant say the externel msd or sd cards have any system related stuff in it, so it is not so cool to not see at least 95% of its actual size.
but instead getting above 85%.

and the vita cards are bloody expensive, screw $ony =v=

First you spread unfounded FUD, and now you get very basic terms wrong.

Giga is an SI prefix indicating 10^9.
Gigabyte (GB) = 1,000,000,000 B = 1,000,000 KB = 1,000 MB

Gibi is a binary prefix (binary) indicating 2^30.
Gibibyte (GiB) = 1,073,741,824 B = 1,048,576 KiB = 1,024 MiB

Say all you want about that FUD, I'll own that and say it was unfounded but you sir really need too get your giga's and gibi's checked. The internet and various educational institutions disagree with you and agree with me...

The UFL link doesn't even mention GiB and it's clearly using GB as a synonym for GiB, which the next article explains.

Did you even bother to read that PC World article?
A GiB equals 1.074GB.
every Windows 7 gigabyte (1,000MB) is actually 1,024MB--which should really be referred to as a gibibyte (GiB).
"bi" is literally derived from "binary"; it never refers to multiples of 10. [!w gigabyte] [!w gibibyte]
