Hacking Want to CustomFirmware my 3DS

Hello!
I want to fully hack my 3DS. I have an OLD 3DS 10.3U.
I already downloaded SysUpdater and all the required 9.2.0U cia files from that ISO site.
I have two entrypoints:
-IronHax
-ThemeHax
Neither is working for me when launching SysUpdater.

What should I do?
Keep trying 'till I get it?

And what do I have to do after downgrading my 3DS? If I can of course.

stop here, use something else for downgrading. sysUpdater is not recommended anymore

I've been out of the Scene for the past 6 months (i think?)

yes, it doesn't verify the files before downgrading, and it installs in a random-ish order. use "sysDowngrader" (or PlaiSysUpdater if it fails).

Just one more question!
In the link you gave me, on step 13, it says to do the BrowserHack.
I already had IronHax and ThemeHax... so I'm guessing that they were deleted since I downgraded to 9.2... and thus I have to re-do the BrowserHax? to reinstall IronHax and ThemeHax again?

And Can I delete the "update" folder now?

no, you can delete ironfall now, it's unnecessary (unless you actually play the game). you'd use the internet browser to set up menuhax, then use Decrypt9.

Well, it's fixed, I just changed the date and the time, scanned the QR code which lead me to BrowserHax, and installed ThemeHax...
I see that IronHax no longer works, I attempted to install it again... so I guess, as you said, is useless unless I want to play the game.
Haha... first time I'm doing something like this, my heart has stopped few times... this is even harder than when I hacked my Wii way back in 2008


By the way.... I decided to make all this foolish stuff (foolish since I have a risk of bricking) because I'd love to develop 3DS games, and I believe that having full access to my console would help me at some point with Lua and testing purposes.

I guess something WEIRD just happened.
So I did all that 2.1Firmware stuff. And when entering the http://dukesrg stuff I pressed SELECT and got a glitched screen.
I waited and since it didn't rebooted I turned off my 3DS.
Turning it on, it took me directly to:
LUMA3DS v6.1.1 configuration screen...

Is this ok?
Apparently i just skkipped step one:

1.- Hold select on boot to enter the Luma3DS menu

• Make sure to start holding the button before pressing power
• If you get a black screen, follow this troubleshooting guide
• If you boot to SafeA9LHInstaller, follow this troubleshooting guide

Do I just follow this steps like normal?:
2.- Use the (A) button and the D-Pad to turn on the following:

• "Autoboot SysNAND"
• "Use SysNAND FIRM if booting with R (A9LH)"
• "Show current NAND in System Settings"
• "Show GBA boot screen in patched AGB_FIRM"

that's exactly what should happen. you have arm9loaderhax now. just keep going

My God! I have a heart condition! Not fucking around with this one, I DO HAVE A HEART CONDITION... this stuff...

So, my previous experience with Wii is that it can have a "PRE-Loader" (prii-Loader, BootMii) to unbrick/fix it if something terribly wrong happens...

What I just did with A9 is just that?
Is like a "pre-loader" to restore NANDs?

And Luma is the CustomFirmware?

you can update just fine since you have a9lh

Exactly. A9LH is an exploit that runs in miliseconds the moment you press the Power button. It also allow you to restore/do NAND backups w/o hardmod. And Emu/RedNAND. And updating safely w/o removing A9.

Now can I use Apache Thunder's cia to run my old R4i-sdhc cart?
The reason is that, I was using Kanji Sonomama Rakubiki Jitten to study Japanese, and I hadn't been able to keep progressing in that language because that DS game was like my EVERYTHING.

it should just work right away. if it doesn't, there's a slot-1 launcher or something to possibly run it.
