How do you install make? Ive been trying but to no avail.Ah, you need to just run the makefile using make. As long as your update version's code.bin is in the same directory, it should do all the scanning, building and patching for you.

You need DevKitARM installed in order to compile SaltySD. Look at https://3dbrew.org/wiki/Setting_up_Development_Environment for getting that set up, after you install that you should be able to run make with no problems I believe. How do you install make? Ive been trying but to no avail.
Yes.Hey @shinyquagsire23 sorry if this is a stupid question, but code.bin must be decompressed, correct?
Your cache is corrupt.
A command line command, just "make".@shinyquagsire23 so when you say run make, do you mean it as a command or an app. Ive been at this and im set to complete it. Ive got the tools needed to do it like devkitpro and what not. (That is if someone else beats me to it to which then lmao)
Ok so i am doing it right. Because im getting an error.A command line command, just "make".
When I try to get the "cachegen.py saltysd\smash\" I only get a syntax error, advice?1) Make sure to get and use "cachegen.py" for every time you add a new file into the "saltysd\smash\" file path. In general loading is muh faster. Is it the natural game's speed? No, but faster than without the cachegen.
When I copied + pasted it in the directory of the cachegen.py file, it worked just fine. Is the "saltysd" folder in the same directory as cachegen.py?When I try to get the "cachegen.py saltysd\smash\" I only get a syntax error, advice?
I have no idea.....I don't even have a real cache I stole your's XD try deleting the cache and re-making it.sooooooooooo....
what do?
"directory of the cachegen.py" huh? When I copied + pasted it in the directory of the cachegen.py file, it worked just fine. Is the "saltysd" folder in the same directory as cachegen.py?
Hm, this just means you don't have python in your executable paths. Editing the Makefile and removing just the python part in the python commands might work? Not sure, because you seemed to be able to at least run them *somehow*.Ok so i am doing it right. Because im getting an error.
make: python: Command not found
make: *** [all] Error 127
I tried that many times before, and nothing worked.I have no idea.....I don't even have a real cache I stole your's XD try deleting the cache and re-making it.
You just need files you edited in the smash folder. And I don't know what is going on, are you opening cmd in the root, also? The command I always use is "python cachegen.py saltysd\smash" Not much different though."directory of the cachegen.py" huh?
and yes they are both on the root.
All I know is syntax error line 15. XD
Do I need other files in the smash folder?
All I know is that we both for some reason are the only ones suffering.........Maybe because are sds are FAT32? maybe becauseI tried that many times before, and nothing worked.
I guess they all got corrupted somehow. I don't even know how they did..
it worked................thank you.........thank you....You just need files you edited in the smash folder. And I don't know what is going on, are you opening cmd in the root, also? The command I always use is "python cachegen.py saltysd\smash" Not much different though.
