Hacking Savegames from bricked 3DS

So I bricked my n3DS... While trying to setup ARM9LoaderHax I did something really stupid and now I cannot even enter recovery mode. Now I am thinking about buying a new n3DS. But my question is about something else:

Since I cannot use the system transfer tool, because of the brick, is there any way to transfer my save games to a new n3DS or extract them and inject them after setting up emunand on the new n3DS without having access to my old n3DS? I have a backup of my Nintendo 3DS folder and multiple NAND.bin and emuNAND.bin backups.

Yes, they are, but as for as I know they are encrypted and cannot simply be copied over to another device.

You're correct. You can not decrypt saves without the console the saves were created on.

You might be interested in hardmodding your 3DS though.

If you ever dumped xor pads then you can extract the nand dump and transfer it to a different 3ds to read the saved games.

If you did not you need to repair the device and dump xor pads there or dump all sd content with decrypt9

And there is no tool like savedatafiler but for PC that could extract the savefiles?

Edit: I also found XORPads for some games online. Can I use those to somehow retrieve my save data?

Unfortunately no, because saves are encrypted using XORs which are unique to each console and we can't reproduce the generic key structure to cheat the algorithm (at least not yet)

So, regarding a hardmod: Say I have done everything necessary and used my NAND.bin to unbrick my system. I then would have to setup emunand from scratch again, right? So this would create a new "number folder" in my "Nintendo 3DS" folder. Would my emuNAND.bin still be compatible, so that I could restore the saves?

As long as your 3ds is the same every nand backup you made from it will be functional either you restore it as emunand or sysnand. You don't need to start from scratch. Just use decrypt9 and restore a backup

So you mean to first restore my NAND.bin with the hardmod and then restore my emunand.bin with decrypt9? And that works without setting up emunand again first?

You don't understand how things work. Your Emunand dump and Sysnand dump are technically the same. They just have different firmware versions and settings and so on. Both dumps will work either installed as Sysnand (nand in your 3DS) or Emunand (nand partition on your SD)

-If you have installed a9lh on it you can use your emunand dump and write it onto your sysnand and load a cfw with it.
-If you do not have a9lh installed you need to load first e.g. menuhax/homebrewmenu from sysnand and load your emunand from SD with a cfw loader of your choice. You need to do this because there is no way to load a cfw from 11.0 sysnand without a9lh.

As long as you don't format your SD card with a partition tool your emunand will be on your SD and you don't need to restore anything except sysnand and load emunand with it.

That's why writing my emunand dump over my sysnand sadly is no option for me, but the secsond option you mentioned is exactly what I was asking
"Ich stand auf dem Schlauch ", but you're right of course. My emunand is a partition on my SD card so I do not need Decrypt9, but simply load into emunand with a hax and cfw.

After installing the hardmod my 3DS sadly turns itself off immediately after being turned on...

Most likely it's the touch screen backlight cable. It is the cable with only two lanes.
This cable when not properly set will turn the 3ds immediately off with a clicking noise.

Yeah that seems to be it, but the cable just does not stay in place, because the motherboard is slightly higher than usual because of the newly attached cables on the other side.

Edit: And the thing that is supposed to make it stay in place does not so anymore. It's one of those you have to bend open a little, but I can't manage to make it close shut.

I can even see that the screen is blue for a millisecond when the 3DS is turned on, so I installed the hardmod correctly.
