@milerwan talk to him, he might actually fix your 3ds. he's an awesome guy, did a great servicewhat guy? could you expand on how it can be fixed
I don't know wtf happened, but he most likely needs a clean nand backup which he doesn't have.@milerwan talk to him, he might actually fix your 3ds. he's an awesome guy, did a great service
it's a matter of fact of OP speaking with a person who has a raspberry pi 2 and knows how to unbrick via that... Via RP2 it's possible to unbrick in certain casesI don't know wtf happened, but he most likely needs a clean nand backup which he doesn't have.
I sent a pm hope it is an easy fix@milerwan talk to him, he might actually fix your 3ds. he's an awesome guy, did a great service
OK thanks for the info how could I purchase a replacement motherboardnope the raspberry pi stuff is just for gateway bricks, your is a bad FW which without a good nand dump is pretty much unrecoverable unless its stable enough to run a update........im just wondering why you didnt just update when you had it booting up, surely updated is better than bricked (and now all FW's can be downgraded anyway)
as for things you can do...well i would suggest just swapping the motherboard from the red one so you have a working ALBW console and selling the red one as faulty on ebay or something
or you could buy a replacement motherboard
Oh and did you every have emunand set up? if so you could dump your emunand and flash that to the sysnand via a hardmod <----PS this option is better than the previous 2
and as for people to do the nand mod sending it to @hundshamer would be better if your based in the US anyway, but for a hardmod to be useful you will need some sort of nand backup even a emunand dump
(ebay or infinitydream are the only ones i know)OK thanks for the info how could I purchase a replacement motherboard

ebay i would suggest (infinity dream is EU based so shipping etc would probs be pretty steep, just search ebay for "replacement 3ds XL motherboard" they should be pretty cheap by nowOK thanks for the info how could I purchase a replacement motherboard

I think I did but I formated the sd a while backebay i would suggest (infinity dream is EU based so shipping etc would probs be pretty steep, just search ebay for "replacement 3ds XL motherboard" they should be pretty cheap by now
and so i guess you never set emunand up either if your looking at new motherboards?
infinitydream is the only one I know. but any hardmodder here should do itI think I did but I formated the sd a while back
Also is there any services/people that do motherboard swaps

contact @hundshamer you may get lucky and he "may" have a spare motherboard lying around too (as in spare so he can sell it for cheaper than ebay ) but i assume he will do it for you if your uneasy doing itI think I did but I formated the sd a while back

as for the emunand stuff, emunand actually goes in a hidden partition, so even if you formatted the SD the emunand partition may still be there, i suggest you find the correct SD and check with emunandtool..........unless you formatted the SD on your replacement 3DS to wipe the old emunand, in which case, im sorry but its dead jim
If you don't have a NAND backup, a hard mod will do no good. Just saying :/OK I will contact him
Thanks for your help

Thanks but I am considering a motherboard swap not a hardmodIf you don't have a NAND backup, a hard mod will do no good. Just saying :/
From another 3DS? Wouldn't it just be better off getting a used 3DS then? Thanks but I am considering a motherboard swap not a hardmod
