There's currently only ONE kernel exploit, and also you should stop asking people who didn't make the exploit to release it ^^. It's not their decision .

I didn't ask him to release anything (cause I know it is not his to release) I asked why would it be bad if it got released... Also I recall Marionumber1 said he has two working k-exploits one fully developed and one semi-developed...

tbn nintendo will likely drop any wiiu patching as soon as the nx is released like they did for the wii, unlike sony and microsoft nintendo imideately stops suporting the previous console as the release date is met.

Iirc they released 1.4.5 for the DSi a year after 3DS launch just to screw over flashcarts and anyone who want to install sudokuhax. You could expect them to continue plugging exploits for a while after NX launches

Well, in the end they did secure the wii... By removing the usb ports and sd slot on the last initeration of the console. That was their "lets see you hack this".

Yeah, too much to fix on the regular Wii, so they made a useless version of the console . Even for regular use, a Wii Mini without SD, WiFi, Gamecube capabilities is like a brick, or a book holder.

I don't know what jurisduction he is in, but in the "land of the free" a lot of bogus charges are drummed up, with decades of combined jail time, then the prosecution gives you a day or two to mull over a plea bargain, where you plead guilty to a lesser charge, or risk having your life taken away by a clueless jury ("peers" doesn't mean "peers" as in people with the same level of subject matter expertise you have). Prosecution doesn't care about anything else but their own "conviction rate", and that includes whether you're actually guilty of a real crime or not. You can ask for instance Aaron Swartz all about this legal blackmail technique... oh no, you can't anymore. "liberty and justice for all" my behind.

Anyway, enough ranting. It would be nice if we could somehow get a credible update on what's going on right now with hykem and if he needs our support (not just financially, also letter writing campaigns, etc. organized through grassroot platforms). I know his last contribution to WiiUBrew was Feb 29 and he used to be very active there.

Devs are hiding what really happened to him and especially how it goes now the project is to be canceled or not. He lost all work or not. We can wait a thing that will never happen or not.
