Does anyone have a link to the release post for this software (if it's not on a banned site), or possibly the dev's github if he has one? I'd like to know if he releases a more stable version based on a newer version of memchunkhax or FBI.

I suppose that OP @DutchyDutch would have it

You are so lucky. I can't find a damned Legit CIA anywhere, and if I do find one, I get a 404 or User Banned error...

OK, so here is my success rate with this method:

System: O3DS
sysNAND: 10.3.0-28E
Booted HBL with: menuhax 2.1
Homebrew version: Original Smea

FBI Successful Boot up number 1:
How many tries it took for FBI to launch successfully: 3 Tries
Games Installed: Super Mario 3D land [EUR]
Comments: Game tested, works properly

FBI Successful Boot up number 2:
How many tries it took for FBI to launch successfully: 7 Tries
Games Installed: None
Comments: FBI Launched fine, but none of the .cia's could be installed due to the same error.

FBI Successful Boot up number 3:
How many tries it took for FBI to launch successfully: 4 Tries
Games Installed: Pokemon X, Pokemon Omega Ruby
Comments: FBI was very laggy/choppy - reacted to only once per about 50 button inputs. Also, some glitched up text was present on the upper screen. However, both .cia's installed successfully this time. The games haven't been tested yet.

Was "the same error" in yours 2nd successful boot appearing immediately after you clicked "install"?

So I got FBI booted but when I go to install my .cias it gives me this the error in the picture, any idea what is causing that?

System: O3DS
sysNAND: 10.3.0-28E
Booted HBL with: browserhax? (I open HBL through either system settings exit hold L or QR code for the browser)
Homebrew version: (don't know where to find this)

Welcome to the club.

I got an idea. It worked for me, so I want you all to try it.

1 - Boot into HBL.
2 - Boot ftbrony / FTP-3DS if you're anti-brony / some other homebrew if you're anti-FTP. I used ftbrony.
3 - Close it by pressing B twice.
4 - Go into it again.
5 - Exit again by doing the return-to-hbl combination (L + R + Down + B, iirc)
6 - Go into FBI

Ok, I couldn't resist and I tried it.
Installation worked perfectly.

- System: 3DS
- Sysnand: 10.1
- Booted HBL with: IronHax 2.5
- Homebrew Version: Original Smea
- How many tries before FBI worked: 1
- How many tries before Legit CIA installation worked: 1
- Did it work: Yes

Black screen after exiting FBI scared the hell out of me!

Last edited by Hyura,
I just got it to work and installed NSMB2 gold edition! Now to try it on my main 3ds...

- System: O3DS
- Sysnand: 10.1
- Booted HBL with: MenuHax v2.1
- Homebrew Version: Original Launcher
- How many tries before FBI worked: A whole lot

When I try to install Pokemon X:

Install failed!
pokemon x Free.cia
Source: SOURCE_FSFILE_WRITE (0x1c)
Module: MODULE_NN_AM (0x20)
Level: LEVEL_PERMANENT (0x1b)
Summary: SUMMARY_INVALID_ARGUMENT (0x7)
Description: DESCRIPTION_INVALID_SIGNATURE (0x6a)
Press Start to continue.

What can I do?

- 2DS
- HomemenuHax
- 10.3.0.28E
- Original HB

- System: N3DS XL
- Sysnand: 10.3
- Booted HBL with: Menuhax 2.5
- Homebrew Version: Masher's Grid Launcher
- How many tries before FBI worked: a billion, I dunno, three hours worth
- How many tries before Legit CIA installation worked: 1, once I got "Done." and actually got into the menu properly, it worked.
- Did it work: Yes, installed Mario Kart 7.

Make sure you have enough space, you need twice as much as the CIA's file size.

This means you got the non-legit version.

What the hell. It's started installing for a second. Then it randomly told me it failed. Stop getting me hyped up FBI.
