just like last time, the only one I really enjoyed was Splatoon. I've never played Undertale and probably won't unless I remember to get it when I have the chance.

Only played Zelda and Phantom Pain. And while I greatly enjoyed Phantom Pain, the out of nowhere ending and blatantly cut content has left a sour taste. I'd have switched over to my alternative choice of MH4U, but it didn't make the cut, so out of a lack of other options, I vote for Majora's Mask.

Iv played all but 2 of them (Bloodborne and Fallout 4) and i still think Witcher 3 is the best of the bunch so that gets my vote. Its already won GOTY officially so im not too bothered how it does on a mostly Nintendo-bias forum.

Also for those who havent played Undertale, play it! Its cheap and a very good game and it WILL run on your pc because it runs on mine and i have a terrible pc. However i still think the right vote is Witcher 3, people who dont vote for it havent played it coz there is no way you could play that game and not at the very least be torn between that and the other games on the list.

Objectively splatoon isn't the goty but like others have said it wouldn't be surprising to see it win on a nintendo-focused website. My vote is with Undertale, though I haven't played Bloodborne or MGS 5.

Also, why is Majora's Mask 3D still here? Didn't it basically come out 15 years ago? I mean yeah, new visuals, but how could that be the GOTY? Well, again, nintendo-focused website...

I mean but this site is biased to nintendo and indie games in general. I mean the only nintendo game id give goty to is XCX but it did not make the requirements for Gbatemp (year ended in nov)

I don't like Splatoon at all but i'm glad it's higher than Mario Maker

Mario games have always been very good and successful. Mario maker lets you play in the way YOU want. It's a revolutionary idea, as far as I can see it.
I don't think Gbatemp is very biased towards Nintendo games. Not much like other sites are biased towards Sony consoles,anyway.

Do you have the final say on what is and isn't a good game? Are your opinions that factual, that you can say that a game is/isn't objectively GOTY? And anyone who disagrees with you is a filthy Nintendo fanboy, makes perfect sense...

Other sites that run these kinds of polls are full of remastered editions and ports of games that aren't even five years old. Be a big boy and handle one remake of an old game.

Mario games have always been very good and successful. Mario maker lets you play in the way YOU want. It's a revolutionary idea, as far as I can see it.

Are Mario games great? Yes.
Is Mario Maker great? Definitely.
Is Mario Maker GOTY? For me, no.

I mean, yes, the concept of creating Mario Levels is great and all, but it's not revolutionary in itself. Level editors existed for a very long time. Yes, I don't know any LE that is as good and intuitive as Mario Maker's, but it is not a "game" in itself imo. If it was, then I would have voted for Garry's Mod as GOTY the year it came out. For me, SM3DW is more "worthy" to be GOTY than Mario Maker.

Terraria and starbound, total level editors

How is Terraria any different from Super Mario Maker? They're both games that present you with a preset area full of blocks that you create, destroy, and place. You go through the area to achieve a certain goal, whether it be finding another area, getting a material, or reaching the end of the area (or level). Then you go online and see other people's creations so you can do the same thing all over again.
