Actually it's quite the contrary. Thanks to being a commercial failure, the Wii U has minimal amount of shovelware. The percentage of fantastic exclusives of the whole library is higher than other consoles for sure. It also has only three sports games to collect, which is of course bad for the console but good for me.

Ummm, by that logic the GameCube had zero Soul Calibur II games, as it was released on other consoles as well. You must be mistaking the word unique with exclusive. Of course TTT2:WUE should be counted in the unique games the Wii U has, it's the only game of the series on the platform.

Every release with a different name and a different release date is a unique game for a collector, but naturally people can have any principles they want.

What about collecting the various types of boxes for the console itself? Some are pretty nice...

Agreed with Bladexdsl, Mario games rarely have much replay value IMO. After completing SM3DW 100%, there's very little in that game I want to revisit anymore.

Is the last Japanese box with an image of Chrono Trigger?

Oh yeah, there's also this one you missed out:

Ever since 2013 I've not touched NSMBU & SM3DW as well as other games I've already finished and don't plan on playing them again just for silly collectibles that mean nothing for the progression.

pfffffffft they can keep it it's a shitty MMO and you have to pay to use it!

This.

So, you want Dragon Quest X? The localization team should hire me, since I already have the title down for the Western release... Grind Quest X: Not Your Mama's Old Grindfest RPG.

Waah!?! In Australia you guys get the stylised titles on the spines? I envy you guys.

The UK spines are mostly just normal small text. :-/ Lucky bastards you Aussies are.

i prefer the uk game cases, those age ratings on the spine of the case look like a eyesore.

i have the uk premium box, the rest look pretty nice though.

So after watching the Finnish VCR guy I decided to watch like half the video of the Finnish Wii U dude and to my surprise there was two games that stood out.

1) "Luv Me Buddies: Wonderful" here I was thinking it was a Hello Kitty type of game and instead it's just generic internet mini-games. Pff! What a rip-off the physical copies are going for £20-30 which no one should pay that much for. Even collectors should know it better to stay away from crap like this (even worse than any game from Little Orbit or 505 Games).

2) "Yakuza 1 & 2 HD Collection" I've never been a fan of the Yakuza games but being that this is available on the Wii U I would've given it a chance had it been released in Europe.

All in all Finn's Wii U collection is mostly made up of garbage games as the Wii U doesn't have much of quality titles, now I don't want to be disrespectful but it is. Blade's and Shinko's collections are way better and what a Wii U owner should really only own.

I'm actually a fan of Yakuza, though the 1+2 HD collection for Wii U in Japan is mediocre at best. The original PS3 versions look better and smoother, despite the Wii U having moar power over the PS3. And the games are really meant to be played with a DualShock controller. It just feels weird to play with a Wii U Pro Controller. Yakuza 1 and 2 suck, though. Yakuza 4 is great, though starting with Yakuza 5 I feel the series has lost its way. It's a more violent GTA for the most part.

That's because he just wants to show off with his collection. Like I said, I know the guy and he's a fraud. I don't think he deserves praise. He works as chief operating officer of publishing house H-Town in Finland, which owns several well-established local magazines including Pelaaja (one of the biggest gaming magazines here), Anime (the biggest anime/manga fan magazine in Finland), and Macmaa (a well-known magazine on all things Apple). finngamer is also the COO of Pelaaja and has easy access to review copies of games before they are released.

It's known that he also evades taxes on games by writing them off as company expenses. Local collectors have little respect for him as he is notorious for showing off he's the first Finnish guy to have collected something and it's always about the numbers game for him. His attitude is ignorant to the comments people make on his videos and blog, as he sees himself above other collectors (and to a lesser extent, players). His favorite games include Ocarina of Time and Super Mario 64, which are probably the only games he has actually played. When I met him 6 years ago he just went on and on about how collecting games is his lifestyle and when I asked him what he played last he didn't even remember. He has a compulsive disorder and denies it. That's all there is to it.

Again, like I said on the first page, if someone gets a kick out of the video, good for them.

Guild McCommunist, you're awesome. How did you find that VCR guy, who's also Finnish? :D Just priceless.

At least VCR guy is somewhat entertaining, no reason to praise finngamer's collection.

A buddy of mine finds all these fucking weird videos from nowhere and sends them to me.
