I have a Theme Pack of 79 themes. Is it possible to divide the pack in 79 different .cia installers?

If I'm not mistaken, the method of approach was preferred to be an AIO because of having to uninstall or delete a particular certificate or ID each time you changed installed themes? Packing avoided that by being a single install.
Something like that. If I recall correctly when you installed them one at a time it always overwrote the previous one (or perhaps as you suggested just the ID or certificate) so you could only have one theme at a time. Installing them all at once bypassed that problem.

There should be a link in the second post with the individual theme cia files if it's the same site I'm thinking of.

I am talking about the EU version. The thing is that I actually want to install only one theme at a time. But that one is in the last pack, so it is not in an individual installer

i expect when we build the cia that we can simply leave out unwanted content files.
i think the tmd is the same whether you have 1 theme or 40 (but gets updated for new content)
so, however you are building the cia (makerom or make_cdn_cia), just leave out what you don't want. - try it.

but when we install cias, the do not 'merge', they overwrite, so you cannot install 5 separate ones to get 5 themes. i'm pretty sure you will have to make one cia that has the 5 you want.

The thing is that a have the CIA with 79 themes, but I don't know how to do all that hahaha I am not very skilled in 3DS Scene.

How can I "extract" all the themes and then select only 7 and create a CIA?

Thanks for the clarification, I knew it was something to that effect.

i can't think of a nice way to know what content file = what theme...
if we do know, maybe someone could make a nice gui :) but until then, you will have to find out what content file is which, then build the cia yourself.
it would be best and easiest to do it straight from cdn, but i doubt we will be able to know what file = what theme without decrypting them first?

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card
